'Chicago Fire' Season 8 Episode 15 not airing this week, but here's what to expect when the show returns
"Chihards" might be disappointed to find out that there is no new episode of 'Chicago Fire' airing on NBC on February 19, Wednesday. However, when the show returns next week, there's a double reward in store for fans.
The first thing is that next week's episode of 'Chicago Fire' will be a crossover with 'Chicago PD'. We were teased there was a crossover headed our way, but here's what makes it more special: Brian Geraghty will be reprising his role as Sean Roman in the crossover.
Where the city sees a series of opioid overdoses in teenagers, Lt Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) partners with Roman. However, Severide begins to suspect there's more to the story than what his old friend is telling him. When MEA WorldWide spoke to Jesse Spencer, who plays Captain Matthew Casey, he said that Roman was back in town looking for his missing sister. Could Roman's sister be involved in the opioid overdoses or is she a victim?
Meanwhile, Casey himself might have a wild episode in store. Of late, we have been seeing more of Casey with paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Kilmer). In a previous episode, Sylvie tasked him with getting rid of her birth mother's letter, which Casey, being the good man that he is, did not do -- twice.
When he did give her the letter, it was just her birth mother's address. Sylvie's been dealing with whether she wants to meet her birth mother and it look like in the next episode, Sylvie will get close to considering a meeting with her. In this difficult time, Casey tries to be there for Sylvie.
As we said, Casey and Sylvie have been spending more time together on the show recently -- especially after Casey's one-night fling with his former wife, Gabriella Dawson (Monica Raymund). In the last two episodes alone, we've seen the two share some special moments. Could they finally be admitting their feelings for each other in the next episode?
'Chicago Fire' airs on Wednesdays on NBC at 9/8c. The next episode will air on February 26.
