Hallmark is gearing up for Season 6, the final season, of its beloved TV series 'Chesapeake Shores.' The show ran for five seasons so far and has been one of the most watched TV series since it had first been aired. The cast of the Hallmark show have gained a reputation for their versatile roles over the years. The show drops on Sunday, August 14, at 8pm Eastern.

The series' synopsis reads, "High-powered career woman Abby O'Brien has made it out of her hometown of Chesapeake Shores and into the big city - New York. When the divorced mother of twins takes a trip home, she is confronted with people from her past - including high school sweetheart Trace, uncompromising father Mick and esteemed grandmother Nell. It is this look into her past, combined with a realization that her career is restricting her ability to be a hands-on mother to her daughters, that leads Abby to consider making a permanent move back to Chesapeake Shores, which she does." Who is Meghan Ory?

Meghan Ory, 39, is best known for her role as Red Riding Hood or Ruby on the ABC fantasy series 'Once Upon a Time.' She also starred in the short-lived CBS drama 'Intelligence' as Riley Neal. Ory currently stars in the Hallmark family drama 'Chesapeake Shores' as Abby O'Brien-Winters. She was born in Victoria, British Columbia. She started acting in theater but her mother forbade her from taking roles in film and television in order to be able to pay for her head shots



 

What was Ory's first TV appearance?

Her first professional acting role was in 1999 for the Fox Family Channel television movie 'The Darklings', opposite Suzanne Somers and Timothy Busfield. She had a guest appearance on the television series 'The Crow: Stairway to Heaven Followed,' before she landed her first regular TV role on the Fox Family series 'Higher Ground' in 2000, along with Hayden Christensen and AJ Cook. Ory joined the cast of the Canadian television series 'Vampire High' in 2001. She continued working in television with guest appearances on 'The Outer Limits,' 'Dark Angel,' 'Glory Days,' and 'Maybe It’s Me.' She also appeared in the TV movies 'Lucky 7' and National Lampoon's 'Thanksgiving Family Reunion' in 2003. Ory made her feature film debut in 'Decoys,' directed by Matthew Hastings, whom she had previously worked with on 'Higher Ground' and 'Vampire High'.

What does Ory think of mother hood?

In 2008, she married John Reardon, whom she met when they were working on 'Merlin's Apprentice.' In May 2018, Ory announced the couple had welcomed their first child, a son. In July 2019, Ory announced that she was expecting their second child, a daughter, in an interview. In October 2019, Ory announced that they had welcomed their second child. Ory recently said that she was pregnant during the shooting of the final season of 'Chesapeake Shores' saying, "I started this season with #hyperemesisgravidarum and ended it with #covid -it has been quite the run! Thank you to my amazing hubby @johnny_reardon_ for holding down the fort and being my rock —and our two, yes two Nannie’s for all their support. With mom and dad both on tv shows, two Nannie’s was a must! #ittakesavillage.”
