'Charmed' Season 2 Episode 3: Fans welcome Poppy Drayton as Abigael but are annoyed with Macy for repeatedly trusting her

Fans are excited about having a major female villain in Poppy Drayton who was seen as Amberle Elessedil from MTV's 'The Shannara Chronicles'

On this week's episode of 'Charmed', we meet Abigael, a witch in distress who is rescued by Macy.

However, Abigael turns out not to be a witch and even tries to kill Macy at the end of the episode. And just as Macy is about to vanquish her, Abigael tells her that dark Harry is after her too.

Meanwhile, Mel and Harry visit the Sentinel of the Book of Elders to get its cipher and succeed in doing so. Maggie gets a job as an Assistant Manager at Safe Space, which also meant that Jordan had to close his gym, unfortunately.

Viewers may already know Poppy Drayton as Amberle Elessedil from MTV's 'The Shannara Chronicles'. Fans were pleased with her portrayal of Abigael and are excited about the potential of a major female villain. One fan tweeted, "She served! I want her to be a ruthless villain filled with deceit, hatred and with no compassion. We really don't get that a lot with female villains. #Charmed."

Some are already guessing about Abigael's powers, with a fan tweeting, "I’m guessing that Abigail has a witch power to mimic others' powers. She mimicked Macy’s Telekinesis. #Charmed #CWCharmedS2."

Most fans are however displeased at how daft Macy is being with respect to the new character by repeatedly trusting her. One viewer opined, "Listen, I’m a #1 Macy stan but let’s not pretend like she wasn’t being dumb this episode. #charmed." Another shared on Reddit, "I’m sorry but who didn’t see the Abigail twist coming after they got back to the command center? And Macy just listens to Abigail AGAIN, AFTER Abigail tried to stab her?! What the Heckity-Mc-Heck-Heck Macy?"

Overall, fans are pleased with the direction of the season and are speculating wildly on Abigael's motives. One fan shared that they were much happier with the second season, writing, "This season feels like a different show. That's a good thing! Writing and character development have improved greatly, since their freshman season. #Charmed #charmedcw."

'Charmed' airs on The CW on Friday nights.
