'Charmed' Season 2 Episode 7: Parker returns, but should Maggie trust him?

It was the reunion Parkerita fans were hoping for, but we have a feeling it might not end well.

Ever since the 'Charmed' reboot returned for its second season to The CW this fall, viewers -- though happy with the direction the new season is going in -- are upset at losing some of their favorite supporting characters.

One of those characters was Parker Caine, Maggie's ex-boyfriend who happened to be a half-demon. Parker ended Season 1 by telling Maggie he was leaving Hilltown to work on controlling his demon side, and because he did not want to put her in danger.

It looked like she might be moving on from Parker this season with the introduction of the new character, Jordan Chase. Certainly, in the earlier episodes this season, it looked like Maggie and Jordan get along well and their relationship could move further along. However, Jordan happens to already be in a relationship.

But, fans got a surprise announcement this week when it was revealed that Nick Hargrove would be returning to play Parker Caine in the episode airing this week, and for Parkerita fans, the episode did not disappoint.

When Macy, Maggie, and Harry find a desiccated sacred tree and the Dryads that protect them killed, they immediately go to Abigael -- who happened to be quite busy with two Susans at that moment -- to find out the truth. However, Abigael tells them that it was her brother, Parker.

Though Maggie does not trust Abigael, she goes with her to find and talk to Parker, ensuing in a sweet, albeit rushed reunion. Maggie and Parker have a conversation about how he is and Parker tells her that he intends to unite the demon world for good -- but we don't think that will go down well with his second-in-command, Godric.

Abigael confesses to the evil deeds, but she was only covering for Godric, who is hatching a plan of his own with Abigael. What that is we don't know yet, but we are certain the midseason finale in two weeks' time will answer that question.

Meanwhile, Parker and Maggie had a proper reunion and when Maggie woke up the next day, he asks her to marry him. Will she accept? Is it a good idea for Maggie to even consider this at such a dangerous time?

'Charmed' airs on The CW on Friday nights. The next episode which is the midseason finale will air on December 6th.
