Where is Charlie Puth? Singer posts update on CP3, fans say 'take all the time'

Charlie Puth is one of the most talented singers and music producers out there with some of the biggest hits in his kitty like ‘See You Again’ with Wiz Khalifa, ‘One Call Away’, and ‘We Don't Talk Anymore’ featuring Selena Gomez. The New Jersey native, who dropped his last single in August 2020, has not been active on the music scene since then.

The 29-year-old singer, however, did share an update recently on Twitter on why he was not dropping new music. The ‘Nine Track Mind’ hitmaker also stopped by on his Instagram stories over the weekend to say a quick “Hello” sending his fans into a frenzy on social media. The hashtag “We Love You Charlie” was then trending on Twitter. In 2020, Charlie Puth dropped two singles namely ‘Girlfriend’ and ‘Hard on Yourself’. Apart from his music, Charlie Puth also manages to stay in the headlines for his earlier relationship with Selena Gomez.

Where is Charlie Puth?

Charlie decided to surprise his fans with the help of an Instagram story where he quickly said “Hello” while sitting in a car. He did not share any other stories.  Charlie was seen rocking a new curly hairdo as he looked dapper in a casual avatar. A day earlier he had given an update on Twitter revealing his future plans adding he will be gifting his fans a whole new album instead of dropping singles.

He stated, “Hi! I know it’s been awhile and I feel like I owe you an update about CP3. Here it is… When “See You Again” came out, it’s success blind-sighted everyone and I had to put out a follow up single to start off my artist career RIGHT AWAY. So I scrambled and put together “Marvin Gaye.” This song also did incredibly well, but I had no follow up and had to scramble yet again to figure out what the next song was going to be. That ended up being “One Call Away” which went number 1 and was a big success!”
 
Charlie continued, “But guess what… still no follow up song. I was on radio promo tour making “We Don’t Talk Anymore” while promoting “One Call Away.” It was an incredibly hard thing to do but we pulled it off and that song ended up being my first solo Hot 100 top 10. For the first time, I had room to breathe and relax, so I made “Attention” with ease. We had months to set it up and it was my most successful song at that point. But with its great success came a heavy promo schedule and tour and I still had NO follow up single. So I had to make one while I was on tour with Shawn [Mendes]. I would be getting off stage, just to run to a studio in Canada to record “How Long” until 4 AM.” He added, “My point is this. I am so grateful for all of these songs and their accolades. But I’ve never had a completed body of work to present to you at one time. At this point of my career, I owe it to myself and you most importantly, to not just give you ONE SINGLE, but the whole vision. I’m making the best album I’ve ever made and I don’t want to rush it. I just need a little more time to mix and perfect these songs. I think you’ll really like them. Until then…”

‘Thank you for being honest’

Social media users erupted with joy as he addressed them in his latest Instagram story as they showered their love on the singer. One user stated, ““That moment when your radio station played @charlieputh ’s solo version of “See You Again.” I’m so proud and sentimental. This was from the morning before I drove to work! WE LOVE YOU CHARLIE.” One added, “Don’t know but we are still trending since this morning!!WE LOVE YOU CHARLIE.”
 
The next one posted, “Charlie otto puth we love you so damn much! know that your love means so much to us all; we love you Charlie we love you charlie otto puth.” Another tweeted, “Thanks to you for being honest with us but above all for being honest with yourself, whatever happens we’ll still be here, we are proud of u and it’s an honour for me to be part of the CPF you’ve created. Sincerely you’re the best decision of my life.” One concluded, “Love you so much. only love for you Charlie. take all the time you need.”
