MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Several Holywood stars turned to Twitter after former president Donald Trump was arrested and charged with 34 Class E felony counts of falsifying business documents by reportedly misclassifying payments to his attorney, Michael Cohen, as legal fees when they were actually hush-money bills. On Tuesday, April 4, shortly after Trump exited a Manhattan courtroom, comedians, actors and other stars posted comments about the scandal on social media.

Before giving himself up, Trump wrote on Truth Social, "Heading to Lower Manhattan, the Courthouse. Seems so SURREAL — WOW, they are going to ARREST ME. Can't believe this is happening in America. MAGA!" He also waved to a crowd of MAGA fans waiting outside the courthouse before going in. The former president later entered a not-guilty plea to the criminal charges after an inquiry into the alleged payment of $130,000 in hush money to adult entertainer Stormy Daniels after an alleged affair, as per OK!
