NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President Donald Trump embarked on his post-presidential trip from Mar-a-Lago to New York for booking without former first lady Melania Trump or son Barron. On the day of his arraignment in the Stormy Daniels case, Trump traveled to New York with a number of trusted aides, including former White House assistant Margo Martin, adviser Jason Miller, and longtime aide Dan Scavino.

A few of his staff members were spotted entering his Boeing 757, which bore the Trump logo and was being broadcast live on cable networks. The journey took place at the same time that it was made public that Trump was expanding his legal team by hiring Todd Blanche, a white-collar New York criminal defense attorney, who had previously defended Paul Manafort, the former chairman of the Trump campaign who was imprisoned on corruption charges.

Trump took a flight from Mar-a-Lago, his exclusive club in Florida, to New York's LaGuardia airport as he got ready to be arrested and fingerprinted in the Stormy Daniels case in criminal court in Manhattan, as reported by Daily Mail. Melania Trump is infamous for staying months in the couple's apartment in Trump Tower at the beginning of the Trump administration. In 2006, a month after the former first lady gave birth to Barron, who is now 17 years old, Daniels says she had a sexual relationship with Trump. Late in the 2016 presidential race, she defended Trump during the "Access Hollywood" controversy. 

'She is focused on her family'

According to a source who spoke to Daily Mail last week, Melania Trump is supporting her spouse despite her absence. "Mrs. Trump is strong. She is focused on her family and stands behind her husband, as she always has," mentioned the source. "For the past 7 years, the left has made multiple attempts to smear and attack her family and this is just the latest attempt to bring him down."

First time in history

The exact allegations are still unknown, but the charges mark the first time in history that an ex-president has been charged with a crime. The indictment ends a years-long investigation into $130,000 allegedly paid to Daniels to get her to keep quiet about their relationship.

Raised $7 million

According to a tweet from his senior adviser Jason Miller on Monday, Trump's campaign has raised $7 million in the three days since he was charged by a Manhattan grand jury on Thursday. The charge was in relation to payments made to the adult film actress as hush money before the 2016 presidential election, as cited by Forbes.

'Where's Melania?'

Meanwhile, people on the Internet have been tweeting, "Where’s MELANIA?" with some doubting that the former first lady isn't standing by her husband. A user mentioned, "Where’s MELANIA??????
