If you haven't heard of Caroline Polachek before, we second the aforementioned fan's comment of her debut studio album 'Pang'. The LP released on October 18, 2019, and was the first full-length solo project under her own name after the disbandment of her band Chairlift in 2017.  'Pang' featured collaborations with producer Danny L Harle and was released to critical acclaim.

The album received a score of 82 out of 100, based on 14 critics, on Metacritic, indicating "universal acclaim". In a review by AllMusic, it was said that Caroline Polachek "further distills her approach with a collection of deeply emotive songs that showcase her delicate vocals and intricate pop sensibilities. Helping her achieve this deft balance of art and emotion is British producer Danny L. Harle. Together, they craft arrangements that straddle the line between moody electronica and adult contemporary pop."

'The Gate' is the first track on the album, and as evident by the above comments, has turned into a fan-favorite. Polachek's teaser comes just off the back of a recent post by the singer on Twitter where she celebrated the anniversary of 'Pang'. In her tweet, she wrote, "Pang turns 1 year old today! Thank you for letting her into your heart," along with a pic of the album's cover art. Check it out below.
