Cardi B has taken to her Instagram account to share some love for Selena Gomez on September 21. More specifically, the 'WAP' rapper is showcasing her new make-up set, a collection of Selena Gomez's 'Rare Beauty'.

Along with several clips on her Instagram Stories, Cardi spoke about the collection, saying, "it was made specifically for me because the foundations are my colors, the colors that I practically use." She continued, "And I just tried these on and they look so pretty." Showing off some application to her arm and hand, Cardi said, "It looks really pretty and I really like it." Cardi then sang a few lines from 'Rare', the title track of Selena's third and latest studio album which released in January 2020. Watch the full clip below, shared by PopCrave on Twitter.

Apart from the video centering around Rare Beauty make-up, fans found the video "funny" and "cute" and were more taken up by Cardi's vocal rendition of the Selena Gomez hit. "The song Sounds sexual," said a fan while another described her singing as the "Wap version of rare." Others were left scratching their head about her singing style with comments like, "Omggg why did she start moaning" and "is that her singing or moaning im confused" and one fan said, "I lowered my volume so quick when she started singing cuz my mom was next to me."

For followers of Cardi and Selena, their friendship is no secret. Apart from being star collaborators on the DJ Snake track 'Taki Taki', alongside Ozuna, the pair have often shared their public admiration for one another in various ways. At the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival last year, Cardi surprised fans by bringing out Selena on stage and they performed 'Taki Taki' with DJ Snake and Ozuna.

Back in 2018, the day after the news broke that Selena was seeking professional treatment for an emotional breakdown, Cardi sent her support and posted messages, calling out Selena's strength. The rapper shared a photo on Instagram of Selena singing taken during her Revival World Tour with the words “You Are Amazing” edited on top. According to Elle, Cardi also gave her some candid words of empowerment, saying, "I just want to let her know, Girl, you're beautiful, you're rich and hold on because even sometimes I feel like I'm losing my mind. I just got to pray hard to God and get away from social media."

In April last year, Entertainment Tonight shared a video on YouTube where Selena opened up about why WE Day, a celebration of doing 'social good,' makes her cry every year. In the video interview, Selena was handed a quick special message from Cardi that she taped during a Fashion Nova campaign shoot. In her message, Cardi described Selena as "so amazing" and "so beautiful" to which the pop star let out a heartfelt aww. Selena said, "I'm obsessed with her. She's so sweet, she's very honest and I respect that."
