Cardi B has an announcement to make soon and it has sent fans into a frenzy at the possibility of new music. While it isn't clear what the announcement will entail, the 'WAP' rapper has also kept things vague in a recent teaser.

"I got a announcement to make tomorrow," shared Cardi B in the caption for a short 12-second video in which she similarly teased those same words. With the addition of the megaphone emoji, the caption alludes that the announcement may be bigger than what could be expected.

In the clip, the rapper steps down her staircase at home, wearing a long black coat over her sexy lingerie and sporting several other accessories. Another curious aspect of the video is that, after she speaks, the intro from the song 'Addictive' by Truth Hurts (and featuring Rakim) plays out. Check out the teaser below.

Following the teaser, fans are in a whirlwind of excitement and "CARDI B IS COMING" has quickly begun trending on Twitter. "It’s gonna be a good week CARDI B IS COMING," tweeted a fan while another said, "Cardi’s really about to get her 5th number 1! I’m so excited! CARDI B IS COMING."

"A solo #1 debut would be iconic CARDI B IS COMING," wrote a fan. One fan said, "last time she said this we got WAP." "I’m feeling sweaty I’m so excited for this announcement i cantttt," shared another fan.

Fans are also questioning the usage of the 'Addictive' song, which is probably the most mysterious element of Cardi B's teaser. Cardi B had no involvement in the song and wasn't even famous yet when it released, but considering that it is the lead single of Truth Hurts' debut album and one of her commonly known songs, we might be getting a collaboration between these two stars of hip-hop.

That is speculation of course, so let's bear in mind some of the facts of the song before Cardi B's imminent announcement. The 2002 track featured a verse from rapper-producer Rakim, and is based on a Hindi music sample, which eventually brought on a $500 million lawsuit against her label Aftermath.

The song's producer DJ Quik used a sample of a Hindi song he heard on television one morning, which was reportedly the 1981 song 'Thoda Resham Lagta Hai' by Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar for the 1981 movie 'Jyoti'.

Aftermath neglected to clear the rights to use the sample and with the lawsuit, Copyright holders Saregama India, Ltd. filed an injunction to prevent further performances or broadcasts of the 'Addictive' song.

'Addictive' was the only Truth Hurts track to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 peaking at No. 9 and selling over 600,000 copies in the US. Additionally, it was top-five hit in UK, France and Switzerland, and went gold in several countries.
