MAMANUCA ISLANDS, FIJI: If there's one thing fans can say about the Season 44 premiere of 'Survivor,' it's that Jeff Probst was correct: this will be the wildest season yet. Fans on social media have weighed in on what they call "one of the most chaotic premieres ever" as they remain disappointed at the season's first elimination.

The new castaways certainly kept the show's medics busy in Wednesday's Season 44 premiere, when a bashed head, dehydration, and a harrowing fall off a high boulder resulted in bleeding, fatigue, and a potential (probable?) concussion. While nothing was as severe as the Kaôh Rng debacle, there were still more collapses, nicks, and scrapes than one would anticipate from Episode 1! It all pales in comparison to what has to be the strangest opening in Survivor history. Fans are confused at the chaos that the premiere offered but what irked them was the season's first elimination.

Maddy's idol sends her home

Maddy was eager to play hard from the start, having quit her job to fight on 'Survivor'. She thought Brandon was getting too much power in the game after he retrieved an idol from the cage that appeared at camp. She tried a dogpile on the NFL player, enlisting everyone in a scheme to surprise him with an idol in his pocket. But it was pandemonium that triumphed out over order. Jaime and Matthew both played Shots in the Dark to ensure their protection, which prompted Brandon to play his idol. And Brandon's lone vote was enough to send her packing.

'Maddy got screwed by literally everything in the world'

Sad the way Maddy had to leave, a fan wrote, "Robbed feral queen Maddy. What a s**tty way to go out." One confused fan tweeted, "MADDY WENT HOME WITH 1 VOTE IN EPISODE 1. WHAT IS THIS." Why the modern version of the show isn't as good, a fan wrote, "lol. cancel this season. it was average while it lasted. maddy got screwed by literally everything in the world and this is why modern survivor sucks." A fourth fan sighed, "The one person who didn’t play like an intoxicated capybara got voted out… Maddy, I’m so sorry. You didn’t deserve this. The new era continues to prove how stupid it is."

However, one fan also felt, "I'm sorry but Maddy deserved that for being stupid enough to target the one person she knows has the idol." Another person added, "Maddy got what she deserved. Why would you scramble at the first vote to get votes on someone instead of just going with the flow? Maybe don’t play too hard next time?" Calling this wild, a viewer tweeted, "Wild first tribal. Classic blunder by Maddy to drive so hard after someone. She got butthurt by Brandon not wanting to scheme with her and shes going home for it. Glad we don’t have to deal with that the rest of the season tbh." Hoping to see her make a comeback, a fan wrote, "Imagine orchestrating a play to get out a big player and you end up getting voted out sole because 3 ppl decided to selfishly play scared. Ugh. Maddy deserves to come back." One fan also complained, "Okay so how are y'all going to have a two hour episode and not even remotely explain to viewers why two people played their shot in the dark AND how did Maddy's name get brought up???? I understand blindsides but you're not supposed to blindside us."
