Beth Phoenix: WWE Hall of Famer can win first title in 11 years if she can take down Rhea Ripley
STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT: WWE legend Beth Phoenix will have to challenge Rhea Ripley soon if she wants to win her first champions title in 11 years. She hasn’t held a title since April 2012 when she was the WWE Divas Champion. At the moment in WWE, Rhea Ripley is unstoppable. She was recently crowned as SmackDown Women's Champion.
At Elimination Chamber this year, the two women competed in a mixed tag team bout alongside Edge and Finn Balor. However, a singles match between the two has a lot of potential. Balor was pinned by Edge to claim victory. Ripley lost to Phoenix even though she wasn't involved in the final outcome.

Rhea hopes for a singles match
The current SmackDown Women's Champion has also discussed how Beth Phoenix and she are still capable of doing a lot in the ring. With Rhea Ripley saying on an episode of After The Bell that she wants a singles match against the WWE Hall of Famer as they barely touched the surface at Elimination Chamber.
It is yet to be determined if Phoenix makes a comeback to take on Ripley later this year. But for the time being, the champion is busy. In her final match before going over to RAW, The Eradicator will defend the SmackDown Women's Title against Zelina Vega at Backlash.
Elimination Chamber 2023
Earlier this year, at WWE Elimination Chamber, Edge and Beth Phoenix defeated Finn Bálor and Rhea Ripley in a mixed tag team rivalry match. Despite Dominik Mysterio's earlier interference, Edge and Phoenix attacked Bálor with the Shatter Machine to win. Phoenix and Ripley had already dropped powerbombs on Bálor and Edge, respectively.
Edge gave up, giving the victory to Bálor when Ripley defeated Phoenix with brass knuckles and threatened to strike her with a con-chair-to. The Glamazon was the target of Mami's maneuver despite her concession, and her partner was also sidelined by The Judgment Day. After that, Edge and Phoenix both vanished from television for a short while before making an appearance at the Royal Rumble in January.
