There is never a day when fans are not talking about BTS and even though the boy group stated that they were going on a hiatus from group activities, their actions do not feel like that over the last few months. Over the course of the last few months, BTS has hosted a concert in the USA and then had their first anthology comeback in South Korea. Not only that but the boy group also attended music shows while performing for fans on stage after which they announced their short hiatus from group activities.

That news came with a promise that the members of the biggest boy group in the world were soon going to have their solo debuts and it seems like J-Hope, the first member of BTS to go solo has had a successful opening for the rest of the members to catch up on. J-Hope first pre-released the first lead single 'More' from his debut album, 'Jack In The Box' on July 1 and took over the internet with his hip-hop grunge single. The song was a success as it beat the odds and made it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart in no time. Just as promised, following that, J-Hope released his debut album with the second title track, 'Arson', which was dropped with eight other tracks as of July 15.

BTS J-Hope sweeps iTunes charts with 'Jack In The Box'

Looks like the album is an overnight success as the rapper has officially swept worldwide iTunes charts with 'Jack In The Box', his solo album. On July 16, Big Hit Music, the label that manages the activities of BTS reported that J-Hope's solo album 'Jack In The Box' had topped the iTunes 'Top Album' chart in 49 countries in less than 24 hours after its release. The second lead single from the album, 'Arson' also proved its popularity and fans' love for the rapper as it ranked at Number 1 on iTunes' 'Top Song' chart in 62 countries/regions around the world.

Just as the pre-released track 'More' is still doing wonders on charts, the song was an overnight success when it initially dropped after it charted at the top of 84 iTunes 'Top Songs' chart one day after its release. The single also became J-Hope's second solo track to chart on Billboard's main songs chart 'Hot 100' at Number 82 following his 2019 single, 'Chicken Noodle Soup'. The album from J-Hope is meaningful to him and his fans because it shows his deep and raw emotions where he talked about his concerns with being put into a box as he shares his passion for moving forward as he tries to break the existing mold he was being fit into.

On one hand, the first title track, 'More' talked about the spark of ambition and passion in J-Hope's life and his greed to go out into the world and show them that there was a lot more to him than what meets the eye. On the other hand, his second title track 'Arson' which was released on July 15 with the rest of the album shares the sincere story of J-Hope, who is faced with the world and is at the crossroads where it is adamant for him to make a choice. As fans wait and hope for more chartings and several more records to be broken by J-Hope, the rapper is getting geared up to headline his first solo event at the Lollapalooza festival on its final day, July 31 in the USA.
