Bruce Springsteen ‘Letter To You’: Release date, creators, plot and all you need to know about rock icon’s docu
Bruce Springsteen’s fans are in for a treat as the legendary rock artiste is all set to drop his new album ‘Letter To You’ and wait, that’s not it. A fresh documentary on the 71-year-old crooner with the same name is also going to hit the Internet on the very same day.
The 20-time Grammy winner took to his official Twitter account to share the big news. His revealed a short video along with the post which read, “Announcing Bruce Springsteen’s #LetterToYou - a new documentary film by Thom Zimny capturing Bruce & The E Street Band recording live in the studio. Watch the film exclusively on @AppleTV and listen to the album on @AppleMusic on October 23. http://apple.co/lettertoyoufilm.”

Release date and plot
‘Letter to You’ documentary will be released on Friday, October 23, 2020. It will shed light on the singer’s entire process of recording his 20th studio album of the same name. The documentary will treat fans with Springsteen and the E Street Band recording final takes of 10 songs on the album, along with never-before-seen archival clips, in-studio footage, and insights from the rock icon about his music.
According to the publication Decider, the official description of the documentary reads: “Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Letter to You’ captures Springsteen recording ‘Letter To You’ live with the full E Street Band, and includes final take performances of ten originals from the new record." The description also says, “Letter to You’ serves as Springsteen’s latest step in his autobiographical series that began with the memoir ‘Born to Run,’ continued with ‘Springsteen on Broadway’ concert, and advanced through the film of his 19th album ‘Western Stars.’"
The singer, who also goes by the name of ‘The Boss,’ recorded his new album live for the very first time at his home studio in New Jersey and also got together with his squad, the E Street Band for the live sessions for the first time since 1984’s ‘Born in the USA’.
Creators
According to the publication Deadline, the new documentary is penned by Springsteen and is directed by frequent collaborator Thom Zimny. Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau, and Zimny are listed as the producers of the documentary. The ‘Thunder Road’ hit-maker has also executively produced the project whereas Barbara Carr is named as the co-producer on the film.
