‘Letter To You’ will be Springsteen’s 20th album and is a follow-up to his much-acclaimed 2019 project ‘Western Stars’. The singer, who also goes by the name of 'The Boss', recorded his new album live at his home studio in New Jersey. Here is everything else you need to know about the much-awaited album
Release date
Springsteen’s ‘Letter To You’ is slated for an October 23 release via Columbia records.
Concept
The singer released a very simple cover pic for his new album. The cover features a mid-shot of Springsteen and it allows us to see only one-half of the singer’s face. The multiple award-winning artiste can be seen amid snowfall as he looks directly into the camera. The title appears on the left side of the cover in bold letters topped with the singer’s name.
Talking about his album, Springsteen said in an official statement as reported by the Rolling Stone, “I love the emotional nature of ‘Letter To You.’ And, I love the sound of the E Street Band playing completely live in the studio, in a way we’ve never done before, and with no overdubs. We made the album in only five days, and it turned out to be one of the greatest recording experiences I’ve ever had.”
Tracklist
The rock album fueled by the band's heart-stopping, house-rocking signature sound will enthrall the fans with a total of 12 tracks. According to the Rolling Stone, the new album originally had nine songs but three songs were later taken from Springsteen’s 1973 album, ‘Greetings From Asbury Park, N J’ namely ‘Janey Needs A Shooter,’ ‘If I Was the Priest’ and ‘Song for Orphans’. These additional songs will be available in the album with fresh recordings.
This is how the tracklist looks now:

‘House Of A Thousand Guitars’
