BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: The 80th edition of Golden Globes on Tuesday, January 10, saw Kevin Costner winning the Best Actor in a Drama Series for his role as patriarch John Dutton on the Paramount Network series 'Yellowstone'. Also nominated in the category were Adam Scott as Mark Scout on ‘Severance', Jeff Bridges for his role as Dan Chase on ‘The Old Man', Diego Luna as Cassian Andor on ‘Andor', and Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman on ‘Better Call Saul'.

However, not many were happy with the decision by Golden Globes and wanted Odenkirk to win. A fan wrote, "So no love for Bob Odenkirk playing one of the most iconic characters in the history of television through all those seasons?" While another commented, "Bob Odenkirk was the only rightful winner." One more said, "It’s obviously you need to rewatch Better Call Saul, @mrbobodenkirk is better in any aspect!!!"

Kevin Costner missed Golden Globe Awards

The 67-year-old 'Yellowstone' star shared a video on Twitter in which he said that he and his wife Christine Baumgartner would be absent from the show. He explained by saying, "Hi everyone. Look, I'm so sorry for everyone who might have been tuning in to watch the Golden Globes — Chris and I aren't going to be there. Yesterday we had to pull the kids out of school in Santa Barbara. This is the second time in five years that the freeway has flooded out, we found ourselves on the wrong side of the town and we couldn't get back last night. Nobody's sadder than us that we can't be there at the Golden Globes. Costner Chris had a beautiful dress, I was looking forward to walking down the red carpet with her."

He further added, "I'm just so sorry that I can't be there. I really wanted to, I know how bad Chris wanted to support me. She went out and bought me some gold and yellow and black and silver balloons so we're going to sit at the television and see what happens. Thank you for your support. I'm really sorry to the Golden Globes and the international press and I hope we're invited back. Thanks."
