BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: The Golden Globe Awards 2023 are underway and many are wondering where is Kevin Costner. To their dismay, the actor nominated for best actor in a drama series could not make it. 'Yellowstone' has entertained the audience for five seasons. The neo-western drama television series created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson premiered on June 20, 2018, and has been at an 'all-time high' ever since it premiered. 

'Yellowstone' boasts of an impressive cast that includes Costner, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Kelsey Asbille, and more. The writers for the hit show are Taylor Sheridan, John Linson, John Coveny, Brett Conrad, Eric Jay Beck, and Ian McCulloch. The 67-year-old star shared a video to talk about his disappearance from the show. In a video where he could be seen standing outside, Costner says, "Hi everyone. Look, I'm so sorry for everyone who might have been tuning in to watch the Golden Globes — Chris and I aren't going to be there. Yesterday we had to pull the kids out of school in Santa Barbara."

Why is Kevis Costner not attending Golden Globes 2023?

Costner continues explaining, "This is the second time in five years that the freeway has flooded out, we found ourselves on the wrong side of the town and we couldn't get back last night." He explained that he and his family could not make it back to their house Tuesday morning, January 10, "in time" as there were closures of freeways in the area. He continues, "Nobody's sadder than us that we can't be there at the Golden Globes. Chris had a beautiful dress, I was looking forward to walking down the red carpet with her. I'm just so sorry that I can't be there. I really wanted to, I know how bad Chris wanted to support me. She went out and bought me some gold and yellow and black and silver balloons so we're going to sit at the television and see what happens. Thank you for your support. I'm really sorry to the Golden Globes and the international press and I hope we're invited back. Thanks."
