'Blood Quantum': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the horror film

The film is directed and written by Jeff Barnaby who is known for 'Rhymes for Young Ghouls'

Initially released in 2019, 'Blood Quantum' chronicles the people of the isolated Mi’gmaq reserve of Red Crow who are not at risk when it comes to the zombie plague that seems to be prowling around them. If you pictured people running away from "white walkers," you're almost right - these are more like "white corpses and the people are depending on the tribal sheriff for their safety. Here is what we know of the horror film.

Plot

The official synopsis reads, "The indigenous people in the isolated reserve of Red Crow are immune to the zombie plague that has taken over the nation, but that doesn’t mean their lives aren’t at risk. It’s up to Traylor (Michael Greyeyes, “Fear the Walking Dead”), the tribal sheriff, to protect the families residing on the reserve and a flood of desperate refugees from the hordes of bloodthirsty, walking white corpses that are closing in."

Michael Greyeyes as Traylor

Greyeyes is known for his role Ralph Drinkwater from HBO hit series 'I Know This Much Is True' (2020), Brett Woodard from 'True Detective' (2019) and Sitting Bull from 'Woman Walks Ahead' (2017). His recent roles include his role as Qaletaqa Walker from 'Fear the Walking Dead' (2017) and 'V-Wars' (2019).

Forrest Goodluck as Joseph

Goodluck is known for his roles as Hawk from the 'The Revenant' (2015), and Adam from 'The Miseducation of Cameron Post' (2018). He also has directional credits for 'A Walk in Beauty' (2019) and 'Devon's Forrest' (2018). His most recent roles include 'Mud' (2018), 'Designated Survivor' (2018) and 'I Used To Go Here' (2020)

The other cast members include Kiowa Gordon from 'Twilight' franchise as Lysol, Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers from 'The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open' as Joss, Olivia Scriven as Charlie, Stonehorse Lone Goeman as Gisigu, Brandon Oakes as Bumper, William Belleau as Shooker, Devery Jacobs as James, Gary Farmer as Moon, Kent McQuaid as Shamu, Felicia Shulman as Doris and many more.
