Surprisingly, dance rehearsal videos are becoming increasingly popular with view milestones that can nearly match up to the numbers for those of official music videos. Where dancing is a key element for K-pop groups, Blackpink has recognized the value of posting choreography videos on the global streaming platform and it appears to be paying off.

The popular South Korean girl group have achieved another milestone on YouTube during the late hours of January 5 when their 'How You Like That' dance performance video surpassed 500 million views.

The group made an announcement of their new achievement, sharing a poster and captioning: "#BLACKPINK #블랙핑크 #HowYouLikeThat #DANCE_PERFORMANCE_VIDEO #안무영상 #500MILLION #YOUTUBE #YG."

The performance clip arrived on July 6, 2020, and reached 100 million views in 15 days of its release, 200 million views on day 45, 300 on day 76, and 400 million views in 120 days, according to Korea Dispatch. More impressively, BlackPink is the first to hit 500 million views for K-pop dance video and holds the second place as a musical act with the most YouTube subscriptions in the world - currently with 55.3 million subscribers. They fall closely behind Justin Bieber who currently has 60.1 million subscribers, and if you're wondering, K-pop boy group BTS has 43.1 million subscribers on YouTube.

It's no secret that Blackpink is a group that is widely popular on YouTube with an increasing list of milestones. In October, Blackpink's dance practice video for 'Boombayah' hit 200 million views.

The dance practice video for 'Lovesick Girls' currently has nearly 112 million views, and bear in mind that it recently released in early October. The dance practice clip for 'Kill This Love' is on its way to the half-billion-view mark at 328 million and the choreography video for 'Whistle' at 135 million views.

Meanwhile, fans on YouTube have filled the comments section with praise for the new 'How You Like That' achievement. "The most viewed dance performance/practice in YouTube history," exclaims a fan while another wrote, "This is the most viewed dance video in the WHOLE WORLD BLACKPINK IS THE REVOLUTION."

One fan said, "500 Million that’s my Queens Even the dance performance , not the MV, gets half a billion views Oh your strength my pinks <3." Another noted, "The fact that this isn't even a music video, and this almost has 500 million views!! GOSH THE POWER THAT BLACKPINK HOLDS👑🔥."
