The upcoming episode of ABC's 'Black-ish' is a special one, and highly anticipated at that too. Dre (Anthony Anderson) is planning the intimate wedding of his Pops (Laurence Fishburne) and Ruby (Jenifer Lewis), but things don't really go as planned. Things also didn't go as planned for the hundreds of thousands of 'Black-ish' fans across the nation when they stayed glued to their screens, expecting the brand new wedding episode, but were greeted by the 2020 Country Music Awards that aired during the show's designated time slot last week. So if you're worrying if 'Black-ish' is done airing this year, or something worse, fret not, we've got you covered. Read on to find out what causes a fiasco in Pop and Ruby's wedding, and more importantly, when we finally get to see it on the show!

'Black-ish' returns with its brand new episode 6 titled 'Our Wedding Dre' this Wednesday, Bovember 19 at 9:30 PM only on ABC. Now that that bit is sorted, what can you expect from this upcoming episode? According to the official synopsis of the episode as provided by ABC, "Dre's intimate wedding plans for Pops and Ruby go awry when Pops' brother, Uncle Norman, shows up unexpectedly for the festivities; Ruby refuses Bow's offer to help with preparations."

We already know just how hard to please Ruby, aka Dre's mother can be, but now with intimate wedding plans falling apart, there's only so much he can do to keep peace and sanity intact. Out of everything that could possibly go wrong, the presence of Uncle Norman was the most formidable and now that it's happening, we all know how catastrophic that can be. Pops and Ruby's wedding has been in the plan for quite a while now, and although Danny Glover looks impeccable as Norman in the first looks from the episode teased by ET, the menace is surely lurking around the corner, whichever way the character breathes.

The only saving grace Dre can fall back on is his wife Bow, who's back just in time from the frontline duties she was delegating during the raging pandemic. Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) tries to help as much as she can with, which is a relief for Dre as tackling his mother's wedding gone wrong along with his four children would have been a sight to behold for the viewers. But then again, Ruby isn't the most keen on getting Bow's help and repeatedly denies taking help from her daughter in law because of the clashes in their religious faith and beliefs. By the looks of it, Bow will end up helping Ruby with someone nobody else can, and at this point we can only hope it helps Ruby see the light when it comes to treating her daughter in law as the enemy.

'Black-ish' Season 7 airs on Wednesdays at 9:30 PM only on ABC.
