The upcoming Season 2 of 'Dexter: Resurrection' is gearing up to be something to look forward to, especially since it reunites Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) with Harry Morgan (James Remar) after several years. As of this writing, the principal photography for Season 2 has already begun in New York City. In an interesting turn of events, both Hall and Remar came together to drop an exciting update on the show's official Instagram page, hinting at interesting developments expected to follow.

As is widely known, Hall and Remar portray the leading characters of Dexter Morgan and his father, Harry Morgan, respectively. The latter is Dexter's late adoptive father, and Dexter has consistently shared a relationship with him. In a sense, he often speaks with his deceased father and looks up to him as a sort of moral guide. In the video, Remar appeared as Harry in his familiar button-up blue shirt as part of his Season 2 wardrobe. Hall, on the other hand, was spotted wearing a black Henley collar-style long-sleeve shirt. In hindsight, it does seem likely that Hall might don the same costume while he is on the hunt in the upcoming instalment of the show.

Speaking directly to the camera, Hall took the lead in speaking from the set of 'Dexter: Resurrection' Season 2 and revealed that the team has "another thrill planned" for the audience. This falls in line with the dramatic showdown that came to pass in the finale of the debut season, and it is only natural that the second season will open with a bang and a surprise. Hall and Remar then conclude the video by reminding the audience to "stay tuned". This could very well mean that there are more intriguing updates and revelations in store for us. Moreover, it is only a matter of time before they become common knowledge. In the video, Hall does not mention any other specifics about the upcoming season's cast or plot details.

Nevertheless, several returning stars have been confirmed to be a part of the upcoming season. Paramount had previously announced that Uma Thurman will reprise the character of former Special Forces operative Charlotte 'Charley' Brown, who escaped from the city in the wake of Leon Prater's death by the end of the first season, and is one of the few who know Dexter's real killer identity as the Bay Harbor Butcher. On the other hand, 'Succession' star Brian Cox will be seen as Dom Framt, aka 'New York Ripper'. Dan Stevens is also on board and will portray the 'Five Borough Killer'. In addition to these heavyweights, Bokeem Woodbine will be seen as Homicide Captain Mixon of the NYPD, while Nona Parker Johnson plays Officer Fiona Mixon, i.e., the Captain's daughter. 'Dexter: Resurrection' Season 2 is expected to release sometime in October.
