Christie Brinkley is 'wearing out her welcome' by seeing ex Billy Joel and his wife Alexis Roderick often
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Billy Joel and his wife Alexis Roderick are allegedly tired of his ex-wife Christie Brinkley's routine visits to their home, sources have claimed. The supermodel apparently can't get enough time with the pair and "is wearing out her welcome" with repeated visits to the rocker's home in their coveted New York neighborhood.
Brinkley, 68, is said to have become used to having household singalongs with Joel, 73, and their daughter, Alexa Ray, 36 -- a tradition they have continued long after the couple's split in 1994. While the trio loves to hang out when time permits, insiders say Joel has got his hands full at home.

"Billy and Alexis want to have their evenings to themselves, and they've got other friends they'd like to see on their weekend nights off," a source close to the family told RadarOnline. They said the 'Piano Man' hitmaker still thinks about the world of his ex-wife but is occupied with his daughters Della, 6, and Remy, 4, both shared with Roderick, 39. Joel and Roderick took the holy vows in an intimate ceremony with friends and family on July 4, 2015, at the singer's Long Island estate. The pair reportedly got together back in 2009.
Brinkley sent love and good wishes to the newly married couple following the nuptials. "Congratulations to the glowing bride and groom. And to my daughter Alexa, who has a wonderful friend in Alexis! Wishing the growing family every happiness!" she said. The comment was perceived by some as having a shady undertone, but a spokesperson for the supermodel told the Daily Mail that there was no malice at all.
"Christie posted a photo on her Instagram to send well-wishes to Billy, who remains a close friend, and his new bride, Alexis. There was by no means a cynical angle here and to say this is a backwards compliment, is not the truth nor was it the intention," they said, adding, "Christie genuinely cares for Alexis, Billy's new bride, and their daughter Alexa loves her, too. It was a happy and loving event and her Instagram reflected that sentiment."
Joel and Brinkley tied the knot in 1985 but parted ways by the spring of 1994. According to People, there were many factors that led to the divorce, including Brinkley's desire to move to the west coast and her frustrations with Joel's busy touring schedule. However, less than a year after finalizing the divorce, Brinkley wed Richard Taubman. While the marriage was brief, they welcomed a son together, namely Jack Cook, 26. Brinkley then married Peter Cook in 1996 and the pair welcomed daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook, 23, in 1998. The pair split in 2008. That said, Joel has also been married twice in the years since he divorced Brinkley. He wed Katie Lee in 2004, before splitting in 2010. He eventually wed equestrian Roderick in 2015.
