Sailor Brinkley-Cook, 21, who replaces mom Christie Brinkley on 'DWTS' is a swimsuit model and no stranger to stardom

Christie Brinkley's 21-year-old daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook will step in for her injured mother who hurt her arm during the rehearsals of 'Dancing with The Stars'

Christie Brinkley's daughter, 21-year-old Sailor Brinkley-Cook, will be filling in for her mother who suffered an injury while rehearsing for the premiere of 'Dancing with The Stars'.

Sailor is a model for Sports Illustrated and joined the cast of the show recently. As reported by 'Good Morning America', Sailor shared, "I'm doing this mostly for my mom! I just want to make her happy and make her proud. She loved doing this, she loves dancing and she loves performing and getting hurt was her worst nightmare."

She added that she decided to attack something that she was very afraid of and this was something that she felt like she needed to do. She will have to move at a lightning pace to pick up where her mother had left off and has a matter of hours to learn the entire routine.

She also says she fit perfectly into her mother's performance outfit for the season premiere.

Sailor will be competing against many other celebrities such as Hannah Brown, Kel Mitchell, Kate Flannery, Ally Brooke, and Karamo Brown.

The model who has dominated social media has an Instagram account which boasts of more than 150K followers. She often posts pictures of herself and her modeling shoots to the delight of her fans and followers. At the young age of 12, Sailor kicked off her journey into the social media world and quickly became very active on Twitter.

Sailor's mother Christie Brinkley broke her arm during rehearsals and was unable to return to the dance floor. As reported by BBC and ABC, "While rehearsing for the premiere of 'Dancing With the Stars', Christie Brinkley suffered injuries which required surgery to her wrist and arm. She is unable to continue her planned participation on the show."

"Keeping it all in the family, her daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook, a Sports Illustrated model, has chosen to quickly step in with hours to learn the entire routine and will compete in her mother's place for the remainder of the season." The 65-year-old Christie shares Sailor with her former husband Peter Cook.
