Christie Brinkley's ex Peter Cook, 60, gets engaged to college student years after second wife divorced him because 'he had a thing for young women'
Christie Brinkley's former husband Peter Cook is currently engaged to 21-year-old Alba Jancou.
According to a report by Page Six, the 60-year-old had proposed to Jancou last month while in Santorini, Greece. Even though the pair has a 40 year age gap, Cook refers to Jancou as his "soulmate".
He said about their engagement, "We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found, in each other, our soulmate. We are looking forward to many years of wedded bliss!"
The couple has been dating for around a year now. Cook proposed to Jancou with a six-carat diamond ring in front of a church in September.
The stunning ring was designed by jewelry designer Glenn Bradford. Bride-to-be Jancou is the same age as Cook's daughter with Brinkley — 21-year-old Sailor Brinkley-Cook, who was recently eliminated from ABC's 'Dancing with The Stars'.
An insider close to the couple shared, "They originally met two years ago at Le Bilboquet, but didn’t start dating until a year ago. They are planning a destination wedding in Europe."
For their engagement photos, the couple is dressed in all white in front of the Santorini backdrop. Jancou is a psychology student in New York and is "Swiss, French, and English".
According to public records, her parents are New York art gallerists — her mother is 33-year-old Tanya Bonakdar and her father is 52-year-old Marc Jancou. Cook and Brinkley once had a gallery together but following their divorce, they decided to run their own individual businesses.
Cook and Brinkley had split up in 2006 when Cook was caught having an affair with his office clerk, 18-year-old Diana Bianchi.
Cook's second former wife Suzanne Shaw later accused him of having a "secret pathological predilection" for younger women. Shaw and Cook divorced after being married for just two years in 2014.
