'Billions' Season 6 Episode 3: Fans want show cancelled after WOKE Axe-less season drags
'Billions' Season 6 is not the same as the 'Billions' with Damian Lewis. While it appears that critics have somehow managed to come to terms with that fact, the audience and fans are still struggling to grasp that the show is trying to carve a new identity without the Brit actor. Three episodes in, the rivalry between Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) and Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) intensifies. The latest episode sees the duo now getting ready to face off in the battle of New York.
The episode starts off with Prince's big vision — make the 2028 New York Olympics the best ever and rather memorable. However, it isn't without the share of issues. Todd Krakow (Danny Strong), the treasury man is back with his wisecracks but is a key player in the land acquisition for the games. Prince makes a power play and ties up with Krakow and Rhoades' billionaire friend, Bud Lazara (Wayne Duvall). However, he is met with stiff resistance from two old Axe Cap employees — Dollar Bill Stern and Mafee.

Twitter, however, wasn't impressed. "Hot TV opinion. Season 6 of #Billions is..not very good. #WokeShowtime," one of the tweets read. "Season 6 of Billions? Three eps in, what do you think? Feels like the show misses Bobby Axelrod. Seems pointless." Another tweet echoed a similar sentiment. "watched 1st 2 of season 6 this a.m. i’ll give it one more episode(3) but if its more of this woke hyper ESG bullsht will move onto something else. too many other good shows to watch.i watch shows to unplug from all the biased agenda bs everywhere not 2 get more of it. #billions."
"#Billions season 6 sucks. This (heretofore) successful show is supposed to about unbridled capitalism—good, bad and ugly. Now it's virtue-signaling, pandering, left-wing BS. Thank God this is the last season," a critic remarked. However, there was a section that felt 'Billions' had not slipped the rungs. "I wasn’t sure if @SHO_Billions was going to be able to bounce back after the Covid production pause and then again after Axe’s character left, but damn.. #MaggieSiff and #AsiaKateDillon just keep getting better and better. Season 6 is #showtime #billions
