In a statement released on Tuesday, May 2, a rep for Nighy said, "Bill and Anna have simply been great friends for two decades. They are not in a relationship." Romance rumors began to circulate when they were seen dining together in Italy in 2021.

The relationship was not addressed by Wintour's reps, but a source close to the Conde Nast chief told Page Six that "we think last night speaks for itself." And a guest at the extravagant party, which was attended by celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna, said the couple spent the event together and added, "They are so cute." "They are the new royal couple of fashion! an insider said, noting that Wintour was grinning the entire time.
