NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fans can’t keep calm as a pregnant Rihanna recently rocked an outfit from Chanel's 1994 Fall collection, with her advanced baby bump on full display. The ‘Love on the Brain’ singer, who is expecting her second child with ASAP Rocky, looked radiant as she stepped out in New York City, wearing the ensemble from the collection of Karl Lagerfeld. 

The nine times Grammy-winning singer’s sartorial choice left the fans stunned as she channelized her inner diva in a cropped faux fur jacket and a quirky Chanel’s double C monogrammed glasses. She paired the two statement pieces with a short white Coperni dress, heels by Amina Muaddi and added another piece of faux fur with a hat from Benny Andallo, reports Vogue.

As per People, Rihanna’s choice has a Met connection as the 1994 collection by Chanel was designed by Lagerfeld who is going to be honored at the 2023 Met Gala. The soon-to-be mom took to her Twitter to give her fans a full look at the outfit while basking in the pregnancy glow. She captioned the post. "Not even monday."

The organizers of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute announced the theme for the 2023 Met Gala in September 2022. They said that the gala will be in honor of German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld who died in February 2019. The event is called "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty". Apart from his self-titled brand and Chanel, Lagerfeld collaborated with fashion houses like Fendi, Balmain, Patou, etc.

'Super excited to confirm her pregnancy'

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky (whose real name is Rakim Mayers), who welcomed their son Noah Mayers in May 2022, are all set to become parents for the second time. The musical superstar revealed her baby bump during the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 12, wearing an all-red outfit while showing off her baby bump.

An insider told People during that time, "Rihanna has so many things she is grateful for. She is ecstatic about how her show went. She felt great about performing again. She was also super excited to confirm her pregnancy,” before adding the Barbadian singer is happily co-parenting their son with ASAP Rocky and "wants several kids and is happy that her son will have a sibling come summer." They concluded, "She loves parenting with Rakim. They are great together."

Since then, the Fenty Beauty owner has been showing off her baby bump and photos of her toddler son on her social media. On March 6, just before the Oscars, she posted an adorable photo of Noah with the caption, "My son when he found out his sibling is going to the Oscars and not him @theacademy #oscarnominee #oscarperformancein1weekswipe for tb of my fat man."

On the occasion of Easter, she posted two other snaps of the toddler with the caption, "Look at heeeeee!!!! shot by de birFday gal herself @mdollas11 !."

On April 20, Rihanna shared a photo of Noah where the toddler can be seen in an eclectic dress like his parents. Wearing a pair of rugged jeans, he rocked an oversized jacket with 'Trouble' written in glitzy letters behind. 

'Slay queen'

Fans could not stop gushing over Rihanna after she shared the pictures in the Chanel outfit. A fan wrote on the post, "On Top Of You Being So Beautiful Those Shades Are Everything." "Slay queen," commented another. Another fan remarked, "So Monday she gone be at #MetGala2023     is what the fashion gods are whispering."

Fans, who are waiting patiently for her new album, said, "Hurry up and push that baby out & then drop the album sis we tired of waiting !" Another exclaimed, "The Queen of the Met Gala will attend this year!!!"
