'Beyond The Edge': CBS celebrity reality show dubbed 'bad Survivor knock-off' by fans

Climbing through bat caves and braving innumerable dangers and keeping one's composure intact is going to be a tough ask from any celebrity. CBS's 'Beyond The Edge' is putting the fear in the celebrities. The show features 9 celebrities who will push to survive in 95-degree heat and jungle humidity. These celebrities will be sheltering in the crocodile territory. The new show indeed isn't the lifestyle of the rich and famous people.
The cast on 'Beyond The Edge' includes country singers Lauren Alaina and Craig Morgan, ageism model Paulina Porizkova, sports legends Ray Lewis and Mike Singletary from the NFL, Metta World Peace from the NBA, Jodie Sweetin star alum of 'Full House' and 'Fuller House', reality TV stars Colton Underwood and Eboni K Williams. The show doesn't have any judge who will eliminate the contestants. Instead, in their own interest, the contestants will leave the show. In the very first episode, Metta felt that he was not made to survive in such harsh conditions, and he was already missing his family members, so he decided to ring the bell and escape from the show.

By the end of the show, two contestants will be going head-to-head to win a big cash amount for their charity. But the real prize may be what they have learnt about themselves. The channel might have expected to impress the viewers with this show but as soon the first episode ended fans were seemed to be really unhappy and disappointed with it.
As soon as the episode ended they started coming up with their thoughts and opinion about the show. A fan tweeted,"Beyond the Edge was hilariously bad but maybe that’s just my #Survivor bias showing." Another fan called it a 'low budget' show and tweeted,"Have the best time on vacation!! My honest opinion? I’d pass on this Beyond the Edge unless you’re watching for a particular celebrity. It seems low-quality/budget, announcer acts like this is a sporting event, and the challenges aren’t exciting. It’s a bad knock-off Survivor." Another fan called it 'dumb' and tweeted," Beyond the Edge is dumb. But I’m still gonna watch it." Another unhappy fans says the show 'sucks',"This Beyond the Edge show on CBS sucks, I wanted to see them playing full-on Survivor not Legends of the Hidden Temple for charity."
