Premiering in the fall of 2016, 'Better Things on FX followed the lives of a single mother, Sam Fox and her three daughters. Created by Pamela Adlon (who plays Sam) and Louis CK, the show has been nominated for multiple Emmys and won the Peabody Award in 2017. The show is semi-autobiographical and is based on Adlon's life.

Plot
'Better Things' follows the life of Sam Fox, an actress, as she raises her three children. Balancing her life as a mother and an actress, Sam goes through many hurdles. Her three children are Max, the volatile and angry eldest daughter; Frankie, the androgynous middle child and Olivia, the adorable and sweet-hearted youngest daughter.
Few details are available about the upcoming season, but a trailer for the season shows Sam's daughters trying to set up a dating profile for their mother. Initially reluctant, Sam finally gives in to her daughter's wishes and it looks like Sam is ready to get back in the dating world.
