Benny Blanco teases a collab with BTS, fans ask 'do you know how to beatbox?'

Benny Blanco manifests joining BTS as their eighth member causing chaos among fans on Twitter who joke about Bang PD's awkward acting in the video

With BTS being one of the biggest names in the music industry at present, there have been many international acts that have been craving to collaborate with the HYBE boy group. With the merger of HYBE Labels with Scooter Braun's label Ithaca Holdings, fans had been anticipating collabs between BTS and popular artists like Ariana Grande or Justin Bieber.

But it seems like, before that, BTS could possibly collaborate with the American record producer Benny Blanco. Back in May 2022, Benny Blanco collaborated with BTS as he made a remix of three of ARMY's favorite tracks. It seems like a collab is in the works as Benny plans on joining BTS as their new member while on a call with Bang Si-hyuk aka Bang PD, the Chairman of HYBE Labels.

Benny Blanco teases a collab with BTS

On July 20, in a post on his Twitter account, Benny Blanco released a clip of his video chat with Scooter Braun and Bang PD. While on the call, the songwriter and record producer talked about falling in love with BTS after attending their concert. Benny Blanco attended the BTS 'Permission to Dance on Stage' concert in April of 2022 and ever since that, he had been manifesting joining the boy group. It looks like the songwriter finally got one step closer to his dream now as he gets BTS' contact information from none other than Bang PD.

In the video released on Twitter, Benny talks to Bang PD about his intention behind joining BTS. The songwriter claims how he has been obsessed with BTS and would like to join the boy group and Bang PD offers to give the boy group's phone number to Benny asking him to try talking to BTS by himself. While not much is revealed about this as of now, fans suspect that this video is hinting at a possible collab between the two artists in the near future.

However, fans are having their own fun with the announcement as they are stating how BTS really does not have any "room" for a new member, in the words of the members of the boy group themselves. One fan said, "Sorry Benny." Another fan said, "I will just leave it here." One fan jokingly shared the audition information from HYBE saying, "Here." One fan said, "Awkward…" Another fan said, "Bang PD opening the video call thinking it was about a remix but finding out it was an audition to recruit an 8th member." One fan said, "What u gonna do when they sing “we are not seven with you” in concert?"

Another fan responded, "Well technically they’re not seven with him either." One fan said, "Bang pd is so unserious, anyway they don’t need 8th member." A fan said, "So like WHEN you get their number and WHEN you do, ask them for a Louder Than Bombs live performance Pls... We NEED to see that song performed live." One fan said, "Sir i dont think you would want to be an 8th member... like do you know how to beatbox?" A fan joked, "Hayo hitman bang didnt introduce another hit-it audition soooooooooo…" One fan said, "Bestie YOUR future in the band as 8th member."
