When GOT7 first announced that they were leaving their company, Ahgases worldwide were afraid that the group would either disband or go on an indefinite hiatus.

However, the third-gen group assured fans that they would always be there for them by releasing the self-produced track ‘Encore’, which went on to break records. Currently, each of the members is thriving with their solo careers but haven’t forgotten their group. From Bambam and Yugyeom promoting their solo debuts together to the group cheering Youngjae on his acting debut, GOT7 is very much active. Member Jackson Wang too has been scaling new heights as a solo entity.

Even though Jackson is moving between China, Hong Kong and South Korea and expanding his brand, Team Wang, the GOT7 member is very much booked, releasing music and being the spokesperson for huge brands. From Fendi to Cartier, brands know the value of Jackson and his influence, especially in the East. He is, in fact, the first Chinese K-Pop idol to sing an OST (original soundtrack) for a Marvel film - ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’. And the latest feather in his cap is becoming global ambassador for Beats by Dre.

Jackson for 'Beats by Dre'

While fans were waiting to see what the rapper/singer-songwriter would do next, he dropped the news suddenly on July 2. Founded by none other than rap legend Dr Dre, Beats by Dre is one of the leading companies of audio products under Apple. Joining the likes of Serena Williams, Pharrell Williams and even Kylie Jenner, Jackson has been introduced as the newest face of the brand. The K-pop star launched his brand tie-up by modelling for Beats Studio Buds in a new photoshoot.

Fans were excited as they wondered what else this would entail. With Beats by Dre being known for their fun commercials, they wondered whether Jackson would participate behind the scenes by maybe producing the music or directing the commercial. Jackson’s Team Wang was actually involved in the 30-second teaser announcement of Jackson’s collaboration with Beats by Dre. The idol has definitely proven his worth by participating in almost every element of his last two English singles, from directing to producing.

One fan tweeted, “I just think that @JacksonWang852 >>>.” Another tweeted, “Jackson being named for global ambassador for beats!!!! What!! Ah~ Im so proud of how far he’s going.
