Baz Luhrmann's ‘Elvis’ soundtrack features Eminem and Doja Cat, fans say 'there is so much flavor'
Baz Luhrmann's highly anticipated trailer of ‘Elvis’ finally saw the light of the day as it quickly broke the Internet on Monday, May 23. The movie based on the real life of Rock ‘n’ Roll legend Elvis Presley stars the suave Austin Butler in a lead role. While many praised the young actor, it was the soundtrack of the flick that created quite the buzz amongst the fans.
Social media users logged into Twitter to discuss the lineup of the musicians roped in for the biopic. As revealed by Warner Bros Pictures, the movie features an elite list of musicians like Eminem, CeeLo Green, and Doja Cat among a few others. An official list of the lineup was shared on Instagram that quickly got the music lovers talking.

According to multiple reports, the ‘Elvis’ soundtrack will feature previously unreleased “original songs and recordings” by Presley himself. Apart from this, the music lovers will get to hear songs from renowned artists such as Doja Cat, Eminem and Cee Lo Green, Jack White, Jazmine Sullivan, Kacey Musgraves, Les Greene, Stevie Nicks, Swae Lee, Diplo, and Tame Impala. Gary Clark Jr., Alton Mason, Lenesha Randolph, Maneskin, Nardo Wick, Paravi, Pnau, Rufus Thomas, Shonka Dukureh, and Yola will also show their skills on the soundtrack.
Musgraves had previously revealed she would be covering ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ for the soundtrack, whereas, Doja Cat’s ‘Hound Dog’-sampling “Vegas” has already been released as the project’s first single. Eminem too took to Instagram to tease his collaboration with CeeLo Green aptly titled ‘The King and I’. A few also questioned as to why rappers were roped in for a movie that is based on a rock icon but a majority of them were hyped for the soundtrack.
Speaking of the star cast, Butler will be joined by Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker; Olivia DeJonge as Priscilla Presley; Richard Roxburgh and Helen Thomson as Elvis’ father and mother; and Kelvin Harrison Jr. as BB King.

Reacting to the ‘Elvis’ soundtrack, one of the users stated, “I can’t think of anyone better to be on the Elvis soundtrack than Eminem with the way he’s incorporated Rock into his music.” Whereas, another shared, “This is the most bonkers-ass lineup for an Elvis biopic soundtrack i've ever seen. this is brainworm-infested s**t right here. can't f**king wait.” One user added, “Doja Cat confirmed for the elvis soundtrack, you really gotta hand it to baz, he never misses.”
