'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 6 finale reunion: Fans side with Blake as Caelynn and others slam his behavior

The flak that Blake received from the rest of the cast and Caelynn especially didn't sit well with fans, who claim that Blake did nothing wrong but defend himself.

Caelynn Miller Keyes and Blake Horstmann finally faced each other after their over-the-top dramatic season on 'Bachelor in Paradise'.  'Bachelor in Paradise' season 6 finally brought down the curtain on Tuesday night and it sure ended with a bang.

When BIP returned for a three-hour episode with the finale and reunion, the series revealed which couples stayed together and got engaged and who called it quits. The last couples standing and engaged were Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin, Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski, and Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty. Sadly, the fantasy suite night brought an end to Nicole-Lopez Alvar and Clay Harbor's relationship, as he was not there yet.

While the big reunion consisted of drama, the highlight was Blake and Caelynn's confrontation about what happened at Stagecoach and the texts that Blake released when the season first premiered.

When BIP season 6 premiered in August, we witnessed Blake receive massive backlash from everyone in paradise and fans for hooking up with Kristina Schulman and Caelynn within a span of 24 hours during Stagecoach. Blake also copped flak for going to Birmingham to meet Hannah and pursue things with her in paradise. During the premiere, Caelynnn also claimed that Blake called her a mistake and pleaded with her to keep their little rendezvous a secret.

During the three-hour finale and reunion episode, Chris Harrison called Blake to the hot seat and questioned him whether he knew that his actions prior to paradise would have consequences and that he would face flak from everyone.

Blake answered saying that it was the most difficult time for him and that a lot of it was his fault. "From beginning to end, I felt like I had hurt so many people and I had done so many things wrong that didn’t really know how to right things in a sense. … I didn’t do anything malicious. I wasn’t trying to hurt anybody. I wasn’t trying to lead anybody on.”

Explaining exactly what happened between the two of them Blake revealed that after he saw Caelynn accuse him of calling her a mistake and telling her to keep their hookup a secret, he felt the need to release their text messages. “The reason that I released these text messages is because of the allegations you said that were not true. If I were to sit on this stage and say you know I didn’t sweet-talk her, she came onto me, I would’ve been laughed off the stage. Nobody would have believed me.”

Doing what she does best -- bawling her eyes out, as usual -- Caelynn replies saying, “I’ve never felt so exposed or violated in my entire life. I truly feel disgusting that everyone has seen that s**t. That to me is the lowest of the low.”

With that said, Blake had already apologized to Caelynn for what happened at Stagecoach and for the text messages and took them down. But the rest of the cast didn't seem to agree with it, especially after Oneyka Ehie called out Blake for 'slut-shaming' Caelynn. The entire cast present on stage kept yelling out at him to apologize to Caelynn.

The anger directed at Blake from the rest of the cast and Caelynn especially didn't sit well with fans, who claim that Blake did nothing wrong but defend himself, while Caelynn just sat there crying and people took her side despite there being proof that she was wrong.

Taking to Twitter a fan said, "For the final time, Blake did NOTHING wrong. He was slandered and he defended himself. Simply because Caelynn was a crying woman people took her side despite evidence disproving her claims. @balockaye_h keep your head up, man. You did what you had to do. #BachelorInParadise."

"@caelynnmk holy mother of gawd take some bloody ownership girl! U constantly play the victim it’s tiresome. He released the texts to clear his name from your lies! I don’t even like Blake but playing the victim is your full-time job! #BachelorInParadise" wrote another fan.

Adding to that a fan said, "Caelynn is a little psycho. You spent your first week on the #BachelorInParadise slandering Blake. So when he came with proof, you’re shook and victimized yourself. Let’s talk about how you use Cameron for a rose."

Fans also called her out for victimizing herself and pushing Blake to say yes, especially when she is an advocate for victims of sexual assault. "Also the fact that Caelynn is an advocate of victims of sexual assault yet kept pushing Blake when he said "no". Um, bye. #BachelorInParadise" wrote a fan.

Adding to that another fan said, "Blake was fine to defend himself of the allegations. As an advocate for sexual assault victims, Caelynn can’t use words like “he silenced me” when it was consensual and then she personally said they shouldn't say anything about it."
