The pop-punk artists decided to call it quits less than a year after becoming engaged, according to sources close to them who spoke to PEOPLE. A source claimed, "Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple."
The couple broke up after pictures of Avril dining out at NOBU in Malibu, California, during Presidents Day weekend with Tyga and a group of friends surfaced. After being seen hugging rapper Tyga, rumors have been swirling about Avril. The pictures led to rumors that the two performers were dating. "Avril and Tyga are genuinely friends and nothing more. There was absolutely no third party involved in the split," a source assured PEOPLE.
