Avril Lavigne rocks edgy leather trench coat for girls’ night out in West Hollywood
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Avril Lavigne looked every inch a fashion enthusiast as she stepped out in West Hollywood on Tuesday, January 30. The ‘Wish You Were Here’ hit-maker, 38, rocked an edgy yet sassy ensemble while enjoying a dinner at Catch Steak in Los Angeles with friends.
Lavigne styled her pop-punk look with a printed black t-shirt dress which she paired with a classy black leather trench coat and flat boots. She adorned an all-black outfit and complimented it with a shiny silver necklace and a bright green manicure. Her makeup included a smokey and heavily-lined eye and a nude lip. The singer kept her neatly straightened short locks out and around her face. Her fiancé Mod Sun was missing from the outing, according to Daily Mail.

Avril Lavigne brands herself 'mother f***in princess'
This outing came after the ‘Complicated’ singer branded herself a 'mother f***in princess' while showing off her swoon-worthy physique in a stunning photo shoot for INLOVE magazine. The snaps captured Lavigne looking smoking hot in a crop top and a pair of tiny denim cut-offs with fishnet stockings in the spread. In the sultry shoot, she poses up in what appears to be a warehouse and up against a brick wall.
Lavigne, who started her music career at the young age of 17, also reflected on her illustrious career. Avril claimed that she has always "called her shots" with her career and isn't afraid to be herself. "I've always called myself the Mother F***in' Princess because I am my own boss," she told the publication. "My view hasn't really changed much, other than the fact that I started out as a 17-year-old, and I'm a woman now."
Avril Lavigne's debut and rise
In 2002, Lavigne released her first studio album 'Let Go', which later became the best-selling album of the 21st century by a Canadian artist, according to Daily Mail. She is considered to have played a key role in the development of pop punk music and paved the way for female-driven, punk-influenced pop music in the early 2000s.
Avril, who recently signed with Travis Barker's label, said she's learned during her two-decades-long career, but also remained authentic to herself and her music. "The industry has changed a lot," she said. "People buy fewer albums and stream more than ever. Social media obviously plays a huge part in it, and I enjoy using it when it comes naturally to me. But my whole life, music has come first. The music has to be great before anything else matters." She also thanked her fans and said they need to be happy in their skin. "You don't need to be like anyone else to be great," the singer added.
