'Summer Love': Austin Mahone announces single with shirtless pic on Twitter but fans demand 'nudes'

The new song is scheduled for release on October 15 and the 'What About Love' singer is also giving OnlyFans an early listen but fans want a preview of a more physical nature

Austin Mahone is back with a new single for 2020. Taking to his social media on October 8, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter announced the new track, officially monikered as 'Summer Love'. The new song is scheduled for a release on October 15 and the 'What About Love' singer is also giving OnlyFans an early listen which started on October 8 at 7:00 p.m. EST.

"New single SUMMER LOVE dropping 10/15 exclusive listen tonight on my Onlyfans at 7 pm est," Mahone wrote on Twitter along with a photo of the singer looking well-toned and shirtless on the beach. Check out the photo below. Mahone's followers are in a meltdown over his post. "Finally, Austin saving 2020," said a fan while another wrote, "AAAHHH what happiness I feel right now!! I can't wait."

One fan shared, "I’m surprised we’re getting music again." Another fan said, "YASSS!!!!!  I’m super excited!! Can’t wait! I loved the song from when you shared a snippet of if on your insta story a while back and always hoped to get that song." Many fans also loved the photo, calling it "Sexy." One fan wrote, "So..when you dropping them nudes."

It is not surprising that fans are expecting nudes, as Mahone directing fans to his OnlyFans account for song promotion is unusual. OnlyFans is a content-sharing platform based in London where creators often use it to share adult-related content. It also offers videos, photos, and even chances to chat one-on-one for a price. OnlyFans has become increasingly popular in the adult entertainment industry. According to an article from The New York Times in 2019, the publisher claimed that OnlyFans had changed sex work forever, dubbing OnlyFans "the paywall of porn." But the platform has been used by all sorts of creators.

'Summer Love' will follow the previously released single by 4B, titled 'Lucid', which was a collaborative effort with Mahone and Abraham Mateo. The year 2019 came with three Mahone singles: 'Why Don't We', 'Anxious', and 'Dancing With Nobody'.

As of now, there have been no reports confirming whether 'Summer Love' is a taste of a bigger project like an album or EP. His latest LP was the debut studio album 'Dirty Work – The Album' which released back in 2017. His EP 'Oxygen' arrived in 2018. So, fans have been in high hopes for more music, but whatever the case may be, it is refreshing to see the singer back with new music.
