In 'Arrow' season eight episode three 'Leap of Faith', John Diggle (David Ramsey) and his wife Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson) are going to be setting off on an adventure of their own.

Meanwhile, Oliver Queen / Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) looks for answers about the Monitor (LaMonica Garret) and his true purpose in the coming 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'.

Oliver is going to be meeting with some old frenemies but it looks like John and Lyla, who have always been a perfect couple in the series, might face some marital issues.

Secrets are the bane of a relationship, especially when your secret is that you've been working covertly for an all-powerful cosmic god who may or may not be responsible for the destruction of entire universes.

Episode two 'Welcome to Hong Kong' revealed that Lyla has been an agent of the Monitor for quite some time, possibly long before she ever even met Diggle, and she has been keeping this a secret from him even after everything they've been through.

Diggle is unlikely to take this information well, especially since he and Lyla have had their fair share of problems with secret-keeping. So far, those were limited to Lyla's work as the head of ARGUS but this might just cross the line.

It would be particularly interesting to see how this connects to the future versions of their children — John "JJ" Diggle Jr (Charlie Barnett) and Connor Hawke (Joseph David-Jones).

Were they ever told about their mom's secret job as a cosmic harbinger or have they been kept in the dark as well? The answer to that might shed some light on why JJ decided to forsake his family's heroic legacy and become the Deathstroke of 2040

After seeing Earth-2 obliterated before his very eyes, Diggle is bound to be more than a little shaken and he will probably look to his wife for some comfort.

However, it was implied in the last episode that the Monitor and Lyla were aware of Earth-2's impending doom and chose not to prevent it so it would serve as a lesson for Oliver, which is something that might turn Diggle against Lyla if he ever were to find out.

'Arrow' Season 8 Episode 3 'Leap of Faith' will air on The CW on October 29.
