‘Deli Boys’ Season 2 adds power guest stars as Hulu finally confirms release date

Raj Dar and Mir Dar's fortunes took a turn for the worse following the death of the criminal mastermind father, Baba Dar.

If there is one thing that the debut season of 'Deli Boys' got right, it is the perfect balance between crime and comedy. Mir Dar (Asif Ali) and Raj Dar (Saagar Shaikh) are two unsuspecting brothers who inherited a large criminal empire from their father following his death. Now they must hold on to their inheritance and protect it from those who try to snatch it away. This simple premise was taken to an extreme by the debut season, and the upcoming sophomore season is poised to be even better. Hulu has recently announced that the upcoming second season of 'Deli Boys' will premiere on the network on May 28, 2026. 

The critically acclaimed show is produced by Hulu in association with the Onyx Collective and has already built a loyal fan following with its debut season. The official synopsis of the upcoming second instalment reads, "Turns out inheriting a criminal empire was the easy part… and more money really does mean more problems. This season on ‘Deli Boys,’ the Dars are drowning in dirty cash and Philly’s sketchiest crooks are circling. Enter Max Sugar (Armisen): casino king, money launderer, and Lucky’s (Jagannathan) new crush who turns laundering into a chaotic situationship. Raj (Shaikh) plots revenge on Ahmad, Mir (Ali) tries to expand DarCo without blowing it up, and Philly D.A. Andrew Chadwater (Rannells) hopes one big bust will make him mayor.” 

The ensemble cast of the second season is something to watch out for, especially since Kumail Nanjiani and Andrew Rannells will be joining as recurring guest stars. Nanjiani will play the character of defence attorney Danyal. On the other hand, Rannells will be seen as Andrew Chadwater, the politically ambitious district attorney who has his sights set on a mayoral run. The guest star roster further includes Robin Thede and Lilly Singh. The latter will portray Aisha, the wife of Maalik Ali. Aisha will develop a raging obsession with Raj, while Thede will be seen as Dr. Iverson, who happens to be a couple's counsellor and one who does not exactly have a respectable set of ethics. In addition to these, the returning cast includes Poorna Jagannathan, Fred Armisen, Shaikh, and Ali. Tan France will also return as Zubair, the British Pakistani mobster, introduced on the first season of the Hulu show.

'Deli Boys' is created by Abdullah Saeed and has been developed by Nora Silver and Jenni Konner. Michelle Nader serves as the showrunner and also executive produces 'Deli Boys' in association with Silver, Saeed, and Konner. 20th Television produces the crime comedy series, which has episodes running up to a duration of thirty minutes on average. The new episodes will be available for streaming on Hulu as well as on the Hulu on Disney+ bundle for subscribers in the U.S.A.
