For dancers and athletes, it all comes down to staying on their feet, literally. And while training and discipline help them achieve their phenomenal form, it certainly takes a toll on the legs. Enter Apolla, a brand focusing on assisting people in staying put through their revolutionary socks!

While Apolla is changing the lives of dancers, the question now is, will the brand be able to impress Mark Cuban, Kevin O'Leary, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec and guest judge Emma Grede

What is Apolla?

Apolla is a brand that aims at making footwear and care products that help with a range of issues often faced by the likes of dancers and athletes. While anyone can wear their products, they help with issues such as inflammation and chronic pain, among other things.

As per the brand's website, "Apolla offers patented compression socks loved by thousands and trusted by top celebrity artists and athletes. Our socks empower you to do more and always feel great. We are driven by a mission to help empower those that need a hand (or a foot) to reach their goals. Because when you have less pain, you really can do more to conquer the world.."

Who are the founders?

Kaycee Jones and Brianna Zborowski are the founders of Apolla.
Kaycee attended Idaho State University and has a BS in Physical Education, Sport Science and Dance. She also has a MS degree from California State University Fullerton in Kinesiology and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Brianna, on the other hand, "studied all major dance subjects at Mary Skiba’s School of Dance in Macomb, MI and trained extensively at Broadway Dance Center in NY, and Debbie Reynold’s Dance Studio, Millennium Dance Complex, and Edge PAC in Los Angeles." She also has a B.S. in Business Management with an emphasis on Management and Marketing from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and co-founded competitive programs Michigan, LA, and Texas dance studios.

What is the cost and where to buy?

Apolla has multiple products to its name, all of which retail at various price ranges. The Joule, the socks aimed at dancers retails for $ 34 and comes in five sizes and colors. You can purchase a pair or more from the website. So far, their products have been reviewed phenomenally, with Jillian D writing -- "As an “aging” dance instructor I am looking for all ways to stay comfortable in my feet. I have been using Apolla shocks for many years and just recently added the stirrup ankle socks! They are outstanding Not only for teaching dance but even my everyday activities (long days behind stage, bike rides, walks and more)."

A certain Emma J explained -- "I aggravated some nasty achilles tendinitis while backpacking the Appalachian Trail in Georgia for a week. Wearing my Apolla compression socks when I got home provided immediate relief from the pain. I went from not being able to wear normal shoes with backs to hiking a 13-mile day hike 10 days later. My feet felt supported, my symptoms not only read more about the review stating Hurtin Hiker Loves Her Apolla’s! Felt relieved by wearing the sock, but subsided almost entirely even without the sock on quickly. Plus, the compression is fantastic but they didn’t leave “muffin top” marks on my ankles at all!"

Elisabeth, I also recounted her positive experience. "I love my shocks! I ordered a few new pairs because teaching advanced ballet classes every night made my plantar fasciitis was acting up. With in a few days of wearing them everything has calmed down. I recommend them to my students, friends who run, nurses and anyone on their feet for long periods of time. I can not get through competition weekends without them!"

Where is Apolla now?

Apolla has clearly found its stride and isn't slowing down anytime soon! Other than the compression socks, the brand also launched adhesive sprays that help extend the life of the socks. As per their recent Instagram post -- "Have you tried our Spray Adhesive? E6000 has created a non- toxic adhesive spray to refresh the traction for all of our Apolla shocks. Apollo Shock's unique traction has eliminated the bulk and seams underfoot. It starts out sticky then you wear it down to your preferred level of grip. Then you keep it there by using a traction refresher (E6000 Spray Adhesive) . We recommend using 10-15 pumps to your traction and the best thing is it dries instantly, so you can get out there and dance and not miss a single beat. Check out our website to order yourself a refresher."

Who will steal the deal?

It's hard to tell who might steal the deal with Apolla, seeing that it all boils down to numbers and who the brand resonates the most with. But for now, all eyes are certainly on Emma Grede.
