Angela Grier: Young Thug's sister dies as rapper faces trial in RICO case
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Young Thug, the rapper whose real name is Jeffrey Lamar Williams, lost his elder sister Angela Grier on Saturday, March 25. Dolly White, the rapper's sister, reportedly confirmed Grier's death when she posted a message on her Instagram.
HiDoraah, a different Young Thug sister, shared a number of Instagram stories on her profile, sharing images of Grier and expressing her sorrow for the family's loss. Young Thug has ten siblings and they were all brought up by their mother in Atlanta, Georgia. The Williams-Grier family has undoubtedly been devastated by the news of Grier's death, and the official cause of death has not yet been made known.

Who was Angela Grier?
Grier was Young Thug's older sister, but nothing is known about her as she led a private life. She was a mother to Quendarious, Farderren, and Aniya Grier. Many of the admirers expressed their sympathies in the comment section after the family posted their condolences on social media. One person wrote, "Prayers for the Family."

What is Young Thug charged with?
Young Thug was arrested on a number of allegations, including involvement in a criminal street gang. The rapper was arrested on May 2, 2022, and was charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of involvement in illegal street gang activities.
Authorities accused him of renting a vehicle that was used to carry out a drive-by shooting in 2015 that killed Donovan Thomas, a 26-year-old man, leading to the filing of these charges. The arrest was part of a bigger grand jury indictment that also includes 28 members and partners at his label, YSL (Young Slime Life) Records. The 88-page indictment's 56 counts allege that they conspired to break the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act through their songs.
