'American Idol' Season 22 judge Luke Bryan takes a dig at Katy Perry amid wardrobe malfunction

SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 22 judge Katy Perry's outfit made headlines again. The pop singer recently faced an embarrassing moment after her outfit's top broke off. During the Top 14 reveal episode, Roman Collins, who was the last contestant in the danger zone, performed for the judges' pick.

During the performance, Katy had a wardrobe malfunction. The singer donned a black two-piece with her top featuring a huge metallic ensemble hung with a string on the back. However, ABC show host Ryan Seacrest noticed Katy struggling with her top and interrupted, "Katy, don't cut yourself!"

Katy admitted, "That song... um... broke my top off... I guess it is a woman's world!" Luke Bryan quipped, "Ratings, ratings, ratings! Here we come ratings!" Katy tried to behind the judges' table, and said, "It's a family show!"

However, after the wardrobe malfunction, Katy took the pillow behind a table to cover her top. After Katy managed to hide her top, Luke told Roman, "You literally have the ability to blow the roof off the place." Katy chimed in and joked, "Or a top!"

Katy Perry gets trolled amid wardrobe malfunction

Katy Perry has been wearing quite a weird outfit lately. After the singer's previous outfit drew comparison to the car wash, the critics trolled her latest appearance. 'American Idol' Season 22 viewers trolled Katy over her outfit's top which looked like a jet plane.

The singer gave a detailed look at her latest outfit on Instagram and wrote in the caption, "If you see a shark you’re left brained, if you see #idol tonight you’re my bestie." However, multiple viewers trolled Katy over her wardrobe malfunction. A social media user tweeted, "Is Katy Perry wearing a jet plane??"

Another person added, "That thing on Katy's outfit is kinda ridiculous!" ANother critic noted, "I hate Katy Perry's outfit." Another internet user penned, "That song broke my top off” HE SANG THAT FOR AMERICA THAT TOP IS WACK." 'American Idol' Season 22 contestant Roman Collins was saved by the ABC show judges, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. the aspiring singer was in the danger zone after he didn't receive enough votes to grab a spot in the Top 14. Roman delivered a stirring performance on 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' by James Brown and easily avoided elimination.

Luke complimented that Roman brought everyone out of their seats when he took the stage. The ABC show judge added, "You have your own style. The world needs to keep hearing it."
