'American Idol' 2023: Who is Reette Thorns? Singer is also a regional basketball champion
MADISON, WISCONSIN: 'American Idol' Season 21 auditions continue in the upcoming episode to give the next singing sensation to the country. Several new contestants will serenade in front of the judges in a bid to win a Golden Ticket to Hollywood in the ABC Network show.
Among the next lineup for the audition is Reette Thorns. She will sing her heart out to impress 'American Idol' judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Katy Perry. Reette is already a social media sensation and all set to make her debut in the singing competition.

Who is Reette Thorns?
Reette hails from Madison, Wisconsin. She recently graduated from Grand Valley State University. Reette is also a sports enthusiast as her team won the basketball regional championship in 2019. She also played rugby. Reette documents her moments on her social media handles. Further, majority of social media posts feature her little twin siblings and friends. Moreover, Reette took stand against injustice several times and even participated in social movements.
Reette Thorns in 'American Idol' Season 21
Several glimpses of Reette's 'American Idol' journey has been released by the ABC network. Some of them were also shared by her on social media. In one of the videos, Reette can be seen crying. Lionel then praised her, "You touched me. And I just want you to remember this moment in your life." The teaser then turned to all the three judges saying, "You are going to Hollywood." Moreover, Reette recently teased about her audition writing, "HELLO FREINDS AND FAMILY... I am blessed to officially announce my audition for american idol will be THIS SUNDAY!!!!! It will be after the oscar’s and will be LATE. It will start at 10:30 central time."
She added, "I know that is pretty late no matter where you are. I ask that you guys stay up and watch it with me!!! It will be amazing and it will be so much fun! Stay tuned for more information/ pictures and videos." Reette concluded her post saying, "I know some of you knew but that was only assumption, the official audition will air this Sunday! I can’t wait for y’all to see. love u all so much."
'American Idol' Season 21 airs every Sunday at 8 pm ET on ABC.
