LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' the iconic series aired a brand-new episode tonight and introduced fresh talent to the viewers. After two weeks of auditions, viewers have experienced an incredible journey alongside the three judges, Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Katy Perry. Very skilled young performers made an impression on the judges and viewers alike.

In the previous weeks, we saw talented artists like Ashley Tankard, Iam Tongi, and Zachariah Smith win a golden ticket to Hollywood. But we are also sad to see some rejections like Jack Nicora. One artist who took the stage on March 5 is Sara Beth, a young mother of three. 'American Idol' judges just couldn't believe that she was 25 years old. But the fact that stood out about her performance was Katy's attitude towards the singer, throughout her performance the pop singer was extremely rude. After Sara sang 'You Know I'm No Good' by Amy Winehouse, Katy even commented, "Not enough."

Who is 'American Idol' Season 21 contestant Sara Beth?

Northern California-based soul singer Sara Beth Liebe is a mother of three. She has both garage bands' practice videos and solo acoustic songs available. She also publishes videos about her love of thrifting, animals, and daily living. 

Sara doesn't have professional singing experience but she sings in the church choir. She's thankful for being able to stay at home and spend time with her kids and pursuing music is something new for Sara. She revealed that her whole family got married young and she followed in their footsteps. It is only in the past six months that she started to think about pursuing a musical career after people complimented her on her voice. 

'Accidental American Idol' Katy Perry being shady to Sara Beth

Sara Beth walked inside the audition and revealed herself as a 25-year-old mother of three young children from California. The judges were shocked, but it was Katy who said, " Honey, you've been laying on the table too much." This was just the start of Katy's mean comments toward the young artist as the audition progressed, Katy kept saying such stuff. Katy asked Sara, "Is this your dream? Is it now? If it's not your dream, you might need to leave coz there's a lot of dreams behind you." After Sara finished performing Katy said it wasn't enough and asked her to sing another song. While Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan gave her standing ovations, Katy said, "Look if it's not your dream, then it's not gonna go far. I also respect everyone that's walking through that door who would lay down their life for this golden ticket, you know?"

Viewers have slammed the judge for her attitude towards the young performer and one said, "Katy giving the first contestant major attitude just because she didn't give her the response she wanted is the Hollywood privilege coming out now. #AmericanIdol." Another one tweeted, "#AmericanIdol Katy is genuinely just being a s****y person, Sarah is a great singer in both songs and she made, a s****y comment about before she even sang. #cancelkatyperry." Another fan said, "Why was Katy bullying that girl #AmericanIdol." One more commented, "Katy Perry has some major attitude tonight. Sheesh."

Fans of the show thought Katy was bullying Sara and have expressed their opinions very clearly. One fan tweeted, "come on judges Sara shouldn't have to sing the second song.. first one was great #AmericanIdol." One more said, "Some of the things Katy perry says to the female contestants is  #AmericanIdol. Another fan tweeted, "Why is Katy being so mean?! Omg. #AmericanIdol." One more fan said, "Katy Perry is so shady #AmericanIdol."

'American Idol' Season 21 airs on Sundays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
