'Alice': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Joo Won's comeback K-drama
'Alice' is a science fiction show that marks the return of 'Good Doctor' actor Joo Won to acting. The show replaces the timeslot that was previously occupied by Ji Chang-wook and Kim Yoo-jung's 'Backstreet Rookie' on SBS.

'Alice' premieres on August 28 and will air on SBS on Fridays and Saturdays at 10 pm KST.
Plot:
The show centers on Park Jin-gyeom (Joo Won) who is a detective. During his investigations, Jin-gyeom realizes that time travelers exist and he also realizes that they come from the future to the present through a space called Alice. While investigating the existence of this space, he meets a woman from his past, who he knows to be dead -- Yoon Tae-yi (Kim Hee-seon). However, she now reappears through the same space and as she is a genius physicist who seems to hold some kind of key about time travel, the two begin to investigate the same.

Joo Won as Park Jin-gyeom
Actor Joo Won will be seen on screen after three long years. He last appeared as the lead in the 2017 show 'My Sassy Girl', and his most popular show happens to be 'Good Doctor' which was remade in the US with the same title. While the original consists of 16 episodes, the American version has been successful and is currently in its fourth season.
Kim Hee-seon as Yoon Tae-yi
Actor Kim Hee-seon plays the role of a genius physicist who appears in the present despite having died in the past through a space called Alice. Hee-seon is well-known for her roles in 'Angry Mom', 'Faith', and 'The Lady in Dignity'.

'Alice' is directed by Baek Soo-chan, who is well known for his other shows that aired on SBS such as 'Beautiful Gong Shim', 'Into the World Again' and 'A Girl Who Sees Smells' among others.

In the trailer of 'Alice', we see Jin-gyeom straddle the worlds of the past, present and future as he begins to investigate the space that he calls Alice. He explains how he started as a detective to understand what really happened to his mother, and he is dead set on finding the truth behind her death. He also promises Tae-yi, a person from his past, who he meets again in the present with the help of Alice that he will find the secret behind Alice's existence. How the two navigate this secret space as individuals continue to travel from the future to the present and go as far as to commit crimes is the crux of this science fiction show.
