Craving a little less drama and some R&R, Robert and AJ end up at Little Rock, an RV park. Unfortunately for them, two miles away, two criminals — Robert's ex-boyfriend Damien Sanchez and his sidekick Lady Danger are still on the duo's tail.

With a break on his cross country club tour, Robert gets an opportunity to put on a show based on the musical 'Grease' while AJ goes diamond hunting for some emotional healing.

AJ is quite street smart and learned her tricks while living on the streets taking care of herself because of an absent mother. In a flashback moment, we see AJ with her mother, in an old apartment making do with dreaming big and birthday popsicles.

Having asked Robert to take her with him on this road trip, the 10-year-old has her eyes set on Texas, where her grandfather lives. While parked at an RV park, AJ decides she wants to go diamond hunting and when Robert finds out why, it's heart-breaking.

She tells Robert that she needs to find a diamond to pay her grandfather (Pop-pop) so he would keep her. Here, we see how vulnerable this little girl is and what a blessing it is that she has Robert with her, "you're a diamond", he tells her.

Meanwhile, Robert is still trying to get over his breakup with Sanchez. He finds himself occupied with a get-together at the RV park. He helps to put on 'Grease' for the people at the park and realizes that he's being "too much" and most people aren't okay with that.

Dwelling with thought, he happens to befriend a family at the RV park and their son, Brick wants to star as Sandy from 'Grease.' With a dad very reluctant to have his son put on a dress, Robert tells him, "let him be too much, the world needs it."

The show takes on many social stigmas — drug addicts, drag queens and now the LGBTQ community. Brick's father learns the lesson and pride of being accepting while his son decides to express himself.

As the duo continue to have fun and practice for the show, criminals Sanchez and Danger figure out a plan to kill Robert by making it look like an accident. After planting a rattlesnake in Robert's cabin, they think they've finally got him, but a cowboy shoots the snake saving Robert's life.

With no other options, the criminal duo plant a tracking device on Robert's RV hoping to never lose him on the road. But, AJ with her street smarts finds and plants that tracking device on a similar-looking RV buying themselves a little more time.

This episode was a little less on the drama side and focused on the emotional bond that AJ and Robert form as they share adventures on the road. Where to next on this road trip?

All episodes of Season 1 of 'AJ and the Queen' are now streaming on Netflix.
