'AGT' Season 19: Watch Nick Manning get judges' panties in a bunch to put NBC show in Guinness Book
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Nick Manning, an Australian, was the final performer to try out for 'America's Got Talent', trying to set a record for "Most Underpants Put On in 30 Seconds." He would need to wear 24 pairs, represented by a golden pair in his set, in order to accomplish this.
Nick made a few mistakes and failed after his first try. Nick invited everyone to help him break a different record, "Most People Gathered in One Place Wearing Underwear on Their Heads," rather than attempting again.
Thus, in order for the judges and 1,250 participants to jointly enter The Guinness Book of World Records, they all had to wear underpants on their heads for a complete minute.
Questioning the nature of the act, one person wrote on X, "I am still thinking about this. Like did all the participants get named on the GWR website or is it just a generic win for AGT? If so, did the audience know they were participating in something where their name isn't written? I also feel the judges voting no took the moment away." Another person chimed in, "Just when you think you’ve seen it all on this show, you have a crowd full of people with underwear on their head to break a world record. This show gets weirder and weirder."

One viewer dubbed the act as, "This is the dumbest record ever." Others threw jab at the contestant saying, "What does talent have anything to do with this? He knew he wasn’t advancing but oh congrats on a world record, big deal."
