'AGT' Season 18: Viewers slam NBC for giving just 5 minutes to vote for wildcard pick as Avantgardey advances to finals
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Eleven performers will compete in the live finals of 'America's Got Talent' next week, but fans are outraged after one participant was "robbed."
Most spectators were unhappy when Avantgardey took the final position in the finals, despite having one more chance to rescue their favorite act.
Howie Mandel's choice, the Japanese dance group Avantgardey, won the Instant Save, but fans were quick to criticize the voting procedure, which only offered voters five minutes to make a selection while Reba McEntire and Sofie Dossi performed on September 20's live show.
On X, fans complained, "I can’t vote on the AGT app!!!" Another person chimed in, "it only will let us vote for Japanese group."
One user wrote, "We cannot vote on the app!!.@terrycrews." A user wrote, "Honestly they gave everyone 5 mins to vote for that wild card and that's not nearly enough time. that's probably why we got a shocking result at the end."

One fan lamented, "So sad the app failed and closed the save vote score it started. Get it right. So sad and unfair."
Another person argued, "Okay so I get they had to wait till all the acts from tonight either went home or through, but only 5 or so minutes to vote is kinda shitty. Granted they've done similar before in instant saves but that was at least half the show to vote."
One viewer asked, "Why couldn't we vote among all the acts ourselves, without being limited to the judges' fave four?"

Simon Cowell's wildcard choice was Chioma & the Atlanta Drum Academy. Unsurprisingly, Sofia Vergara recommended Gabriel Henrique.
Herwan Legaillard was picked by Heidi Klum. Howie chose Avantgardey as his wildcard selection.
