Good news for 'Agents Of SHIELD' fans. The first-look for Season 7 is here, and it seems like the characters are in the 1930s. Season 6 ended with the main heroes making a quick escape, just in time before the Chronicom hunters destroyed the Lighthouse base. They discover themselves in a different version of America, as we can see that the Empire State building is still being built. But that's not all, there's their late leader Phil Coulson to guide them.

In the first look shared by Marvel.com, we can see the characters dressed appropriately for the 1930s, showing much swag and panache. Yet, this isn't the time to look classy, as they will be hunted by the Chronicoms who want to 'assimilate Earth with the aid of existing faces'. In the photo, you can see  Daisy Johnson/Quake (Chloe Bennet), Alphonso Mackenzie (Henry Simmons), Deke Shaw (Jeff Ward), and an LMD of former SHIELD boss Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) on the streets of New York.

Not much is known about the plot of Season 7, but according to the teaser-trailer unveiled at D23, HYDRA just might be back with a bang. HYDRA is going to be different from what we saw in the MCU films, and there's much speculation that Coulson's team was responsible for creating HYDRA.

The final season is expected to do much fan service and be high on the nostalgia factor, especially for those who have watched the show from the first episode. Bennet had earlier said, "I can say we are back in time, so we have to get… the whole goal is to get back to where we were. So that means traveling through a bunch of different time periods and who knows who we see on the way back, if we even get back. It's actually one of the most… season 4 and season 7 are definitely my favorite seasons of SHIELD,” she added. "For the long-term fans, it's a really big pay-up and it's really, really fun. When you've done six seasons and that many hours of TV, it's pretty hard on the writers to think what else do we do, and they killed it. Season seven is a really, really fun one."

'Agents of SHIELD' Season 7 premieres Summer 2020 on ABC.
