Trouble in Paradise? Adele's $340M prenup with Rich Paul already causing 'friction' between couple
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Adele's $340 million prenuptial agreement with fiancé Rich Paul is reportedly already a "touchy subject" between the two.
The pop sensation, 34, who was recently seen flaunting her engagement ring at the 2022 Brit Awards, is said to be looking forward to a summer wedding in Las Vegas with her new fiance, 41. And while the supposed prenuptial agreement might have made for an uncomfortable dinner conversation, the document is crucial for the pop star to protect her assets.

'Trust issues'
"Adele has a few trust issues, which is normal for her, but bringing up a marital contract caused some friction between them," an insider spilled to Radar Online. "She believes in love, and she says talking about anything to do with money is a sure-fire romance killer. She was right," they added.
Aside from being paid an estimated $240 million up-front for her five-month gig in Las Vegas, Adele's four albums have raked in $31 million in sales, plus an extra $34 million in digital singles. And that's not all since we also have to account for the hundreds of millions of dollars she's earned from tickets for her tours. Meanwhile, the singer's real estate portfolio includes two townhouses in London valued at around $14 million and three Beverly Hills abodes totaling upwards of $30 million. What's more? She and her fiance also moved into a $58 million mansion that the songstress reportedly funded last year. All in all, Adele's net worth is believed to be upwards of $220 million, per Radar Online.
That said, Rich also has a respectable net worth. The elite sports agent with clients like LeBron James reportedly has an estimated worth of $120 million. "But he's more famous now because of Adele," the insider squealed, adding, "Her pals convinced her that the smart thing to do is to get an ironclad prenup."
Lessons learned
It's worth noting that Adele didn't have a prenup with her ex-husband Simon Konecki, with whom she shares her son, Angelo, 10. When the exes divorced in 2021, the Drop4Drop CEO was entitled to half of everything she made during their marriage. The exact details of the settlement were never made public, but it did not include alimony. "Now she just wants to play it safe," said the source. "A prenup's signed, and Adele and Rich put it behind them... hopefully."
MEAWW previously reported how Adele's inner circle was worried Rich will leave her and "move on to next conquest" once he's bored. "Rich is a very charming, influential guy. But the worry is he's using Adele to boost his Hollywood profile and it'll all end in tears once he's gotten bored with her," dished an insider to Radar Online. "Before they went public, hardly anyone had heard of the guy. Now he's front and center at all the big events, soaking up the limelight and encouraging her to get out there and party alongside him," another source alleged. Moreover, Adele’s ex Simon was worried about her recent alcohol binges. The insiders insisted that Paul is a "questionable influence" who has "sucked her into this splashy, flashy environment."
