LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' G.O.A.T. coach Blake Shelton recently announced that he will be leaving his red chair after Season 23. This announcement coincided with the revelation that the upcoming season will feature a new group of coaches, including Kelly Clarkson, who is returning after a hiatus, and newcomers Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper.

Shelton has been a judge on 'The Voice' since the show's launch in 2011, serving as a coach on every episode. He was part of the original cast alongside Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green. With eight wins for #TeamBlake, he proudly holds the record for most wins by a coach in the show's history. His winning contestants include Jermaine Paul, Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, Craig Wayne Boyd, Sundance Head, Chloe Kohanski, Todd Tilghman and Cam Anthony. But what may be even more special is that Shelton met his wife, Gwen Stefani, while working on 'The Voice," and they tied the knot in July 2021.

‘It's about time’

Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5, recently commented on Shelton's departure from 'The Voice." As part of the show's original coaching panel, their friendship goes way back. Levine left the show after Season 16, however, and since then other stars such as Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Usher and Nick Jonas have joined as coaches. Speaking outside the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Levine, who had not previously commented on Shelton's departure, said, "It's about time!"

Why is Blake Shelton leaving 'The Voice'?

Blake Shelton has decided to leave after the Season 23 of 'The Voice' to take more care of his family, especially in his role as stepfather of the children of Gwen Stefani. He has made a decision to move forward and progress in his personal life. Professionally, his horizons also seem to be expanding, as he's working on a variety of exciting projects. Blake has a number of new projects in the works, including the game show 'Barmageddon,' which he developed with 'The Voice' host Carson Daly. Although he's open to new opportunities, he's in no hurry to secure a new job.

Shelton will always be the most popular coach on 'The Voice.' With his country charm and sparkling wit, he quickly won hearts, and his fans will always remember him for the show's success.
